I'm out of the loop, why was SkillUp banned and why has the ban been lifted?

He was banned because he was on a gamergate podcast hosted by his brother and he's never acknowledged or apologised for it. The mods have decided to unban when the ban was litigated in the community feedback thread.

And we get at the heart of it. The man needs to throw his brother under the bus and prostrate himself to them--internet randos--for forgiveness. Any thing less than that just makes him a secret chud. Any thing he say must have coded GG language to signal to the chuds he's still their guy. "HR in the room" is just super obvious GG rhetoric to signal to the chuds of his chudness.

So are the pearl clutchers going to troop in and shit up every thread about skillup now? Doesn't seem much point in unbanning him if some people are never going to get over it and will never tire of telling everyone.
