I always wonder why random men will bring up their wife, cousin, or even gf who said it's actually OK and good for everyone's opinions in similar threads.

I mean, it would be like me saying my younger brother is OK and thinks Stellar Blade is good and worthy of the game, so everyone else who disagreed with me is invalid and wrong forever 🤔

No one really cares about a single person's thoughts on a certain game that much.

They bring it up because you tell them to "get a woman's opinion" so they do not knowing that you're being dishonest and not acting in good faith and really mean "get a woman's opinion that agrees with me."

Your younger brother example would only be relevant if somebody told you to get the opinion of a demographic he falls into. If someone tells you to get a woman's opinion getting your younger brothers would be inapposite even if you suspect he's an egg.

And you make an additional error by claiming that the entire exercise is not to further discussion but instead to shut down discussion because that's your goal. In an actual open discussion the fact that there's a woman who doesn't adhere to your stereotype should create greater discussion either from you attempting to discredit her breaking from your belief or perhaps dealing with the fact that you're ignorant so shouldn't speak for others especially those you're not part of (jk don't do that); you can't comprehend that they're challenging your assertion and expecting a good faith reply rather than attempting to end the conversation forever with a single example. That's what your interest is.

You're like Nepenthe demanding that others don't bring up examples that create problems for your theories. Insisting that there's no need to explain these cases because the theory is always correct maybe especially when the facts don't fit. You can't explain that women may have different views from you so you declare it a further sin to bring up women who disagree. You can't trust people who might bring up people who disagree with you, something very sus about that isn't it.

Women exist for you as a weapon to beat your perceived enemies with, not as actually diverse human beings with nuanced views. This is why you can't understand that 60+% of women are not radically pro-choice and the 40% that are pro-life women are far more radical than pro-life men. This is why you can't understand why women may not want men in their spaces. It's why you will never circle the square of thinking fictional women should cover up but sex work is the greatest thing a woman can do. It's the same for every demographic you choose to speak for. They aren't humans to you, they're tools for your own ends.

It really sucks, as I try to limit my support of all these companies, the deeper my awareness grows of how screwed up almost everything we need to have to live in this society, comes from the suffering of others. I realize the are some alternatives for some of the places we buy from, and living in a way that we limit our spending power on them as much as we can is all we can do, but it's pretty demoralizing to realize what our livelihood is built off of.

Everytime I find myself stopping the use of one company, another one that I use finds itself being almost or just as equally evil as the other. There is no escape from the terrors that all these mega corporations have conducted to be so deeply fundamental in the world we live in, and that it's pretty much impossible to not end up relying on one of them out of sheer necessity because they have attached to things that we rely on for our day to day life. Shit

The most charitable I can see is that they think if they cancel their Israel contract they will potentially lose future contracts with other governments. But that's still putting money over ethics, and most of their profit is from B2B, they don't need gov contracts to be very successful.
