The 7 and 8 had me reaching out to MOBA about contacting the FBI if it kept up. Luckily it flamed out immediately afterwards.

The fact is, and I know we've said this before, creating a standardized list of banned personalities opens staff up to harassment from their fanbases and the wider internet. Beyond that, some members of staff are either public with their real life identities or have been doxxed by sites like Kiwifarms or other hate groups. When I was a mod I had asked why we didn't have a formalized list and this was the response I got, now I saw up close that the reasoning had a real point. I hope you can understand that I refuse to put the staff at risk to satiate your curiosity.

Beyond that, it is literally impossible for us to compile a list that covers everything and there are 1000% bad faith actors on the site itself who will use the existence of a formal list against us in the form of "how come you didn't ban x person when you banned y person?"

So no, we will not be making a list of banned sources/content. I hope you can understand the reasoning, but if not then oh well.

Does it makes death threats okay? No, of course not. Do they warrant more than an eye roll? Also no, because I can't think of a mass shooter that ever said "hey everyone, by the way. Here's what I don't get about the mod team:
Nepenthe is, in my opinion, probably the best poster on the site. Rarely have I ever seen them post something I just straight up completely don't like. Obviously, they're pretty far left, as am I. (This is just as a poster, I think there's ample evidence as far as modding goes Era leaves a lot to be desired).

However, B-Dubs, Royalan, and I assume a couple others are the most insipid Neolibs I've ever seen in my life. Any time they post anything remotely political it makes my blood pressure spike, so I have no idea how Nepenthe hasn't gotten ganged up on and booted out by now. Gotta be something there.

It mostly stems from the fact that when someone like Hodgy comes in and goes "African Americans earned their civil rights through peacful protest until the government decided they had been wrong all this time", she comes in and reminds them that MLK was a socialist, that there was a lot of violence and threats of violence that revolved around getting civil rights in America, it was absolutely not a popular position at the time and did long term political damage, etc. That kind of thing. In a forum full of people who legitimately believe the country would have been saved and perfect had Hillary been elected, it's nice to see someone with the attitude of "America has always sucked and has been broken in severe ways".

I despise the whitewashing of history libs do, and it extends into the hypocrisy Era shows in their moderation policy. Anything to get their headpats.
