My honest feedback is that you can come off like somebody new to being queer or in queer spaces and you're super duper excited and it's like, half your personality. Does that bother me? No, I think it's fun.

2. It has to be an adaptation of that video game, not a spin-off novel, elseworld, sequel or prequel (it CAN have a prequel or sequel portion as long as the story of the game is told in full.
   
3. It cannot be a choose your own adventure book for those who've been assigned a choice based game like say Dragon Age: Origins.
   
4. For fighting games, any tournament in the game's plot or story has to be in it.
   
5. You can add stuff, expand on elements, add new characters (or remove characters that don't fit the narrative), subplots etc as long as the basic story is followed.
   
6. If you're favourite game already has a novelization like say Resident Evil 1 or Halo: Combat Evolved, you cannot just copy the original novel, it has to be your original work.
   
7. Please don't use AI.

Reconnected with a friend. Her father recently visited to pay respects to my mother who passed away last October. We've known them for 30+ years.

She lied to her father about getting out of a bad relationship with an ex-military guy. It turns out that she lets the guy live at her father's house while he's out on business trips.

She has her own house ... her mother gifted her a small property gratis ... and I I think I found out the reason why we drove by it but never in it is because she's letting her boyfriend live there gratis. (whom she didn't want me to know about until the last day of my trip).

I am not in a great place in my life and I had explained and confided to her my health and family issues and she laid out how much she willing to help me re-establish myself in a different ... get health insurance ... get out of my rut.

There was so much mutual love and understanding I thought because of how much she seemed to acknowledge we came from abusive households, etc.

but the I was arranging my flight to see her this week, she asked me to keep a secret and confided in me that not only is she still with this guy BUT she was using her father's house to fuck while he's on business trips during the week.

The way her and her brother described this guy was intimidating ... and I just heard he is bad news. She was asking her father for permission to stay with her alone at his house (I'm 38 and she's 35) to add to a ruse. Inoffensive guy friend is here for cover if anyone asks about a guy there. Her father  trusts me around her. I feel used as cover. I was so irked by the immaturity. That shattered my heart.

I left her an long voice message explaining to her how much of a lie was perpetuated and how vulnerable I was. I felt so grossly manipulated and I couldn't fathom ... We reconnected and I thought she was a very sweet and caring person. She invited me back. Enthusiastic. I even on a limb said that she had many wonderful qualities and maybe I was in grief and desperate to find those qualities in other people too quickly. I said I would always love her as a friend.

She told me it would be a huge problem if her father ever found out that this guy was living there. It was more secret I couldn't really handle. I thought she was a friend. I just had a problem I confided with her about and wanted to visit for a break. Am I possessive? I just don't like being put second fiddle and used.

She is very aware of the abuse I'm getting at home ... and understands it based on how we grew up ... I thought there was an understanding ...

I do not think I would have bothered reconnecting with her or wasting my time knowing she shared a lie to her relationship to her father and passed it on to me. I was looking for someone I could spent time with ... and we did for a few days ... and now I'm ejected from that. 

I also wasn't aware that our Mom's were communicating last year before my Mom passed ... dug through my mother's old texts. Her mother was also undergoing chemotherapy and survived. However, my Mom did not talk with her Mom often because she felt depressed about talking to someone that has shared similar life experiences (abusive husbands, cancer) but felt so disconnected with her Mom because she was getting better and remarried and my mother was stuck.

I am so hurt by her maturity level. I thought there was something off with her when she had to a flashlight to inspect her entire vehicle every time we got in or out of it.

I don't know if I'm hitting the same low. She even said she missed at one point ... telling me it sucked not seeing the light under the door next to her bedroom horseshit. Her boyfriend (or her) junked the Boo Amiibo I gave her because I had in my bag and she said liked Halloween.

She gave me her dad's cell a while ago. It feels awfully spiteful. But am I overreacting? I feel like I was particularly used in the worst way by someone I knew for so long.

The moment she started talking about her boyfriend, I hit the record button on my Apple Watch. Played it to my Dad and he said he didn't know to approach. I do not get along with my father and live him alone.

I never mentioned my relationships and never asked about hers.

No response from her. I think she knows full well she hit a nerve with and severed my trust with her. You can't ask me to keep a promise on the foundation of a lie. I think it's crappy what she's doing to her father too ... he's not a terrible person. He works and travels and ... I dunno, has his quirks.
