Thank you for sharing this, but I'm genuinely not interested in this in the slightest.

People nowadays tend to over analyse everything and I will always chuck these "TLOU and Zionism" criticisms as a criticism of its creator, not the art. I never for one moment played the games and thought "oh yeah, WLF = Israel, Scars = Palestinians". Not for one second, even if that's the authors intent.

These characters are not real women, they have no agency, they do not get to choose what clothing the devs put on them. The fact that we are living in 2025 and still objectifying women and saying it's "okay" is such horseshit. Sorry, but no. Cammy should not be having her ass hanging out of a leotard and over sexualized swimsuits for female characters should not be the norm. The Saudis are absolutely right to correct these wrong behaviors and allow women in the FGC space to feel secure and safe without men fucking them with their eyes. I run the Ultimate Alliance reddit, The person who founded the Avengers reddit was a former mod of mine. Internally, he attempted to halt our "phase two" update.

Basically MUA3 died, so we were going to convert the reddit to a general Marvel Games discussion until MUA4 came out (if it ever did). Emphasis was to be placed on Retro games that wouldn't have their own subs, so people could reminisce about Maximum Carnage and stuff. However, people could come and discuss newer games as well, if they thought the discussion didn't fit the home sub for whatever reason - like say a sub prevents developer criticism, well, then they could come make a post on our sub.

We did this because we had an awesome community that loved to chat with each other. We had pretty loose topicality already at that point since the game was already on its last legs. So we figured we could just make it a social sub. Everyone had one thing in common, in that they loves Marvel Games, so we figured just let them continue bonding over that. Get rid of topicality, let the users engage with each other on whatever they wanted (naturally 50% of all discussion would be MUA related anyhow), and if MUA4 ever did happen, we'd just tighten topicality back up again.

We had like 60 moderators, because it was a community owned sub. Like less than 5 people on the ban list period. They mods voted unanimously for. The rogue moderator in question missed the vote because he never accepted his invite to the Mod's Only chat. Then when he found out, he went berserk. Nobody could figure out why, he just went totally rogue, spitting falsehoods. Not listening to anybody at all, applying malevolent motivations to the mod team.

The mod (forget his name, would have to look him up) had already established the "play avengers" reddit, and was afraid that when the game launched that we would steal his traffic. He launched a smear campaign against the rest of the mods, told all the users in the sub that were were going to band MUA discussion or something. Then he opened up his own separate MUA reddit, managed to convert about 2000 users over there, promised to update it, and work with us to transfer guides over...but then he disappeared.

He NEVER returned to his MUA subreddit again. He abandoned all of the people he convinced to go over there. He basically gaslighted a civil war between the community via hyperbol and false truths, diverted a significant chunk of traffic, then f***ing left it burn.

He has dev support, and he's super thrilled to be an "insider" now or whatever. But yea, we never went ahead with the redesign because we werent keen on fighting a war between our own people. So we just let the subreddit die, which is what that dude wanted anyhow.

Edit: Hobbesenero is what he called himself when he was my mod. He operates under a different nickname for the PlayAvengers reddit. He interacts w/ the CD team, so he doesn't want them seeing the Reddit history of his original account. As its, pretty standard stuff if you catch my drift

I'm 35 as well.

Acid reflux is indeed a bitch. I just don't eat after 6pm anymore on the regular. Special occasions and whatnot just cross my fingers.

I started working out with weights last year. I spent the first two months just figuring out when I could or could not work out due to my muscles feeling like they were pulled the next morning. Specfically my deltoids and glutes. Shit sucked. Really made me feel old. Thankfully I am past that now.

Walking down the stairs after waking is an adventure. Sometimes it's completely fine. Other mornings one of my knees feel like it's about to buckle on the first step. Usually I just need to pop it and it feels normal again.

I found out gluten increases my inflammatory response to an uncomfortable level. I wake up with red inflamed scratch marks on my arms and legs. Not sure if I am allergic or not, but definitely making me question if I should just go completely gluten free for life.

One of the benefits of getting old is I don't need an alarm anymore. Rarely make it past 6:30 AM.
