I bought my last 2 xbox games I'll ever buy used today.
And I'm never hooking my internet up to my xbox again. Xbox isn't getting a penny from me ever again.
And 2 weeks ago I transitioned to linux.

Gamepass is easy to boycott compared to Windows. Just buy games, play F2P ones, even if you have to play less overall.

Gamepass was like the easiest drop for me, didn't even have to think twice. I wish most boycotts were this low impact on everyday life.

For real. Especially as a PC gamer, gaming has never been more accessible and affordable (with sales, bundles, etc).

I gave it up quite easily. I'm not seeing the difficulty here? Especially Game Pass. That's the easiest thing in the world to give up.

I dropped Game Pass on PC and while I miss it sometimes, I don't regret it for second. If you only own an Xbox then I get that it can be hard to leave the ecosystem, but on any other platforms it's quite easy to just not buy Microsoft games or game pass

People are dying. It's pretty easy to not use a single subscription service in comparison. If you don't want to do it, just say that, but don't make it out to be some difficult sacrifice. Having a PC or a console is a privilege in and of itself.

PC is a place you can easily get games for much cheaper than consoles often through cd key shop sellers

Another thing you can do is Steam game sharing with friends or family members also on Steam.
Utilising both methods makes relying on subscription services like Gamepass not worth it (especially since you don't keep the games forever.)

Me and a close friend gameshare our Steam libraries helps alot and also because of that - if both of us want the same game coming out we split half and half buy it off sites like cdkeys, fanatical etc (quite rarely directly off Steam) and the games become really cheap.

Yup. Even if you want to get a game at launch (which you seriously do not have to do! the games will still be there when they go on sale) PC is the cheapest avenue to get games. I utilise game sharing both on console and PC, and also wait for deep sales for most things. I'm sure most of us have lengthy backlogs also. No one is forced to take part in boycotts, but let's be honest about it not being the hardest of sacrifices in this case. You're not being asked to drop the hobby.

Although I see little about how those of us who never bought a GenocideBox or subscribe to GenocidePass can effortlessly participate to fight the genocide.

Tangent about Sailor Moon. I watched a couple episodes of the old anime on a flight. The villain of every episode is out to exploit neurotic girl wants or vices. And the message at the end stresses moderation. The very first episode is a monster attacking girls for liking jewelry. It's amazing. 

There's an episode about the girls wanting to lose weight. They join a gym that's a front for a monster draining the life out clients. You think it'd be a body positivity message. No. It keeps telling Sailor Moon, a 14-year-old, not to get fat. Eat a reasonable amount and exercise. There's a bit where Tuxedo Mask insults her and she hurls a pork bun at him. He catches it and goes "Thanks. One less for you, fatty."

Maybe they needed an episode about dental hygiene or showering once in a while.
