Given how fast this thread is moving, not sure if this has been posted yet. This seems legitimately sourced though. The Discord chat is interesting, one would think a cache of messages would help people gain more insight into his politics but the ones selected here still feel vague. Him joking that "The shooter is clearly from California" feels liberal to me (sort of calling out right wing whininess/fearmongering) but is something that could belong to anyone with eyes or basic pattern recognition.

Registered Independent though and this article cites that he does live with his parents, at least officially.

Not only US media, nothing about it was aired in local media where I am at in the EU either and I am hearing similar things from people I've spoken to in other countries. This is not getting air time pretty much anywhere, It blew up on TikTok as it was happening though.

It happened, the mainstream Western media just isn't reporting on it.

What's happening in Nepal should be global news. It should be all over the news.

Unfortunately, the media wouldn't like awakening people to the very real ability to overthrow their government.

They really think everything is a conspiracy.  

The PM resigned, there's an interim one with new elections scheduled. That's all that happened. Basically the same thing just happened in Canada. The coalition in Germany fell apart triggering an election. The French government just fell last week. Why would American media cover this? Or even places like the BBC? It's Nepal.

Maybe if the left actually had a version of Charlie Kirk who went out and spoke on college campuses instead of sitting on some stream every day eating food and complaining it would help your cause. I didn't agree with Kirk but he actually put in the ground work. The online lefts issue is that they're so insulated that they are unwilling to speak with the other side. Creating some sort of common ground to pull aside centrists or center-rights who are questioning Trumps actions would be a nice idea compared to, you know, DUNKING on stupid jerk faces on reddit, twitter, or bluesky so you feel heckin validated.

Stop purity testing and actually have conversations. Something to think about. But I understand that a lot of y'all have anxiety and that's a lot of work.   

Every time the left discusses their "reasonable" stances in public, normal people are exposed to how fucking insane some of them are and are turned off immediately. 

Women cannot have penises, biological men have no place being in a boxing ring with women, carrot bartering is not a reasonable substitute for capitalism, we can't shut down the coal industry tomorrow without starving millions of people to death, people who murder kids at a music festival should not be rewarded.

They revolted because something like 20% of Nepal's young work online and another third are unemployed because they can't get jobs in the country and the government shut down access to all the major websites/apps because they weren't cooperating with the government's plan to better tax this online work. Era posters think it was some kind of Hasan led uprising against capitalism or something in a country that's had communist* governments for like 20 years.

*They're really more like standard social democratic parties circa the 1960's, which means we can push the date back another decade because the party in power before was their more normal social democratic one.
