I read some  that Hasan has asked his many girlfriends and female hangers-on to be the first line of defense for him, because girls are A) assumed to be more empathetic and concerned for the welfare of living things, and B) harder to shit on when they are wrong--because then you're being mean to a girl you evil person!

After Hasan dropped this misogyny claim, I think the theory has some merit.
