It's really not. NFTs never really served any functional purpose. They were mostly a speculative financial instrument, that's it.

AI is already changing how people work and industries function, and we're only getting started. It's a transformative technology more akin to the invention of the internet or smartphone.

I work on one of the biggest AI products in the world, not at one of the foundation model companies, but one of the biggest and most prominent AI-powered development environments on the market. I can tell you this first hand: AI and GenAI are nothing like NFTs. Anyone that holds this belief is doing so out of ignorance and cynicism. I see our growing client list every day — you're gonna be hard pressed to find a digital product anywhere that wasn't created with the help of AI productivity tools. We're already mostly there today, and the rate of adoption is only accelerating.

I wouldn't have complained had Demi, Joe, bork and Rumbler just said they wanted to end it.

I was in the Discord so I knew how much endless complaining there was about the active posters on the forum and how nobody wanted to post at all until they were all gone, with the people Rumbler banned specifically named over and over again as the biggest problems.

But very few of the complainers came into that thread to support Rumbler. None of them started posting while the forum was free. When all of the Nazi and chud posters came here they didn't reclaim the forum. I'm sure there were new excuses: filler was still there, it was dead, benji killed the place, Occam was the only person posting in the politics thread, etc.

It's fine if you just want to move on, but in the Discord it didn't seem like it, every single day was complaining and whining about the forum and reminiscing about the good old days or even the less good days when Nazis were all over the forum but at least they could clown on etoliate. And talking about how once Nintex died they could have the good days again. I thought it was all obvious bullshit.

Maybe they're all happy in the shosta Discord still, maybe it doesn't still exist and they've moved on, I don't know if it's either, but the Discord wasn't really to me a happy place at the time I was there. It had that same faux "happy" vibe that Era has where everyone seems to be secretly seething at everyone else just below the surface and waiting for them to step out of line. I'm not even talking about Green Shinobi telling me to shut up whenever I said anything at all or whatever, I'm not talking about my own situation as an outlier at all. I'm sure that was all deserved as usual. I left more because COVID was over and I've never really liked chat rooms because I have a desire to "catch up" and it's not really feasible without spending the time Blueball thinks I currently do.

Also because he comes up a lot, I don't blame or consider shosta responsible for the vibe of the Discord. That would be like assigning responsibility for the OG's vibe to demi and even Joe. At least when I was in there shosta was pretty busy moving and getting into school and stuff. It's far more reasonable to blame me for the vibe of this place. Or the lib cis staff for Era.

Anyway, speaking only for myself as usual, they're all welcome here like everybody else. Though I imagine there's only a couple that might ever even consider it. Especially since we've gone even more far-right Nazi out of loyalty to Donald Trump, Gamergate and Project 2025. Not to mention getting reported to the police.

I've been feeling lonely the past few days and I think I'm coming to terms that I'll never date for many reasons.

The big one is being trans, specifically being trans in a VERY conservative area (it's really depressing just how much support Reform UK has here and how open some people are with it), where I'm unable to transition (and unable to afford to), I have massive body issues (I feel ugly) about myself; and I just don't feel safe being openly trans, both locally or anywhere in the UK right now. Like even in progressive circles, it feels so easy to find a TERF or someone willing to play softball about the Labour party, downplaying their transphobia as being not too bad or "It would have been worse under the Tories!"

I have massive social anxiety and can't flirt for shit. While I've tried to improve myself, I just don't feel comfortable talking to people in public, like I get freaked out when people ask me for directions, no way would I be good company on a date. Plus that along with my depression makes me feel like I'd be considered to pathetic to date; not going to lie, despite the kind words of a few users here, dating threads on ERA make me depressed and miserable because it makes it clear that if you're a shy introvert or have issues like depression, you're deemed "low standards"

I'm in my early 30s at this point and just don't think I have it in me to date, I already feel stressed with work, family, social anxiety, the Government and seeing society slowly more and more turn against me and others for the crime of existing and being trans, I just don't think I can date.
