I put together a new system earlier this year, and I decided to check the price of the ram I bought. 

Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz CL32 DDR5 cost me AU$369 in April. It's now AU$1549.

I just couldn't pass up the bulk offer. Like a dozen PS2 games, a dozen PS3 games, a handful of ps4 games, a dozen gamecube games, a dozen Wii games, Xenoblade 2 and dragon quest 11 for switch, a ton of N64 instruction booklets, Game Fan magazines, art books, and a wavebird controller. Included in there were Shadow Hearts Covenant and Silent Hill 2 (which I swore I'd never sell)

Probably over a thousand dollars of games and paraphernalia on the used market if I had the mental energy to sell them one by one, but I accepted $400 for everything.

It's actually a HUGE boon for me, and I could never make this much from plasma donation, so I'm grateful. But now I'm back home looking at my once full and now almost entirely empty media shelf, and feeling sad about it. Half the money is already gone, spent just now on car insurance so I can get my registration renewed. The remaining $150 will be used on inspection and registration tomorrow. Poof.

You gotta do what you gotta do and I should be used to it by now, and nothing is sacred, but man 🙁
