You can't micro-moderate every single behavior you don't like. People have the right to be nihilistic, it's up to you to either move on or engage. AI is a problem in that each and every person has a different line for what's acceptable and whether something is AI or not, you can't expect this to be universal.



The word must remain free. If you think something looks like AI you shouldn't be required to stay quiet, since there can't exist any evidence for or against the usage of AI anyway. It's the reality of the current climate. A rule would mean an unfettered growth for AI where it can be present without anyone saying anything until the artists/company admits it themselves, and that's simply asinine.



No company is even required to disclose AI usage in the first place.

I'm not saying it's up to us and I'm not saying it's wrong to discuss this, but I think it's always a bad idea to restrict what people can say for no good reason at all. We are not seeing mass layoffs because people wrongly accuse someone for using AI, we are seeing mass layoffs because of AI usage in general.



Where is the line between speculation and accusation anyway? If someone is 100% sure something is AI, you mean it's their duty to either stay quiet or add "I think" and that will somehow make a difference?



As I mentioned, evidence is not relevant since it can't exist outside of admitting in using it.

If you own Greenland you can continuously use the North West shipping passage, since it's without ice more and more each year. And Trump would love some uninterrupted, unmonitored shipping route to and from Putin.
