This was a decision made with broad agreement among the staff. Look, speaking as someone who used to interact with Neil semi-regularly, if he's actually capable of disproving the allegations, good for him.

But frankly, I just don't think he's capable of that, because there are simply too many of them and they carry too much detail. You don't attract THAT MANY allegations without some serious wrongdoing on your part, and while the accusers may not be able to perfectly prove it due to the amount of time that passed between the events and the modern day, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. More likely than not this is another situation of the abuser convincing himself what he did wasn't "actually abuse" and then spending untold amounts of time and money trying to convince everyone else to see the situation the way he does.

The idea that everyone in the world save for this one tech blogger got it all wrong is just silly.
