That's how you are supposed to get rid of medical waste. You can't leave sharps and fecal matter and all the rest of that laying in a freaking garbage dump. It's routinely tossed in furnaces and incinerated. This isn't some indication of some final solution thing.

Here in CT we have a medical waste incinerator company that people were up in arms about. There is no other safe way to destroy it.

As other posters have said, this is a nothing burger. Most landfills won't take biohazard wasted unless it has been incinerated. While most biological waste is safe after a minimal level of inactivation via an autoclave, etc., there are a lot of landfills won't take it unless it is incinerated.
