Uncle is right, for instance I don't think Will Smith "chose" to be upset over Chris Rock's joke, but it definitely felt like most of the people supporting Smith were only doing it because they wanted to defend the idea that if someone says something you don't like you get to attack them. There's some people out there (and resetera is full of them) who see victimhood as a superpower they can use to win arguments.
And malfoyisking is right, the purpose of the n-word and other slurs is to belittle someone's existence as a human being. I'm sure it took some of the sting off knowing it was involuntary, but it probably still brought back painful feelings of childhood bullies and racist/homophobic assholes for a lot of people in the audience. The only real asshole in this scenario is the BBC for leaving it in the broadcast, and for lying about "not hearing it". They fucking warned people ahead of time the guy might yell things, they either didn't raise it to the editors which means they're grossly inept or they decided to leave it in for publicity which means they're shameless. Since it's the BBC could go either way I guess. 14 users liked this post: Kazuma_Kiryu, FUME5, Keetongu, Cheers, filler, Daffy Duck, Orange Juice Box, benji, Alpacx, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Boredfrom, malfoyking, Taco Bell Tower, Potato

Alysa Liu is a test tube baby manufactured by her father to become an Olympic athlete and had zero say in what she could do growing up. Yes, that's so very privileged. Imagine living a life like Princess Bubblegum where their parents have either loved them unconditionally or have given up on them, the normal white family upbringing where you can do no wrong as long as you're being your true self, and compare that to a strict Chinese father who sends you crying to ice skating practice.
Yes, Princess Bubblegum. It's so very hard to sympathize with someone as "privileged" as her. One was a bird locked in a cage who finally is able to live on her own terms while the other is a Transbian who jerks off to Yuri porn. Who lived the harder life?

Ignore what I posted above.
Alysa Liu's father is a CPC dissenter who ran from rightful arrest to capitalist pig America. Alysa Liu refused to represent China in the Winter Olympics, unlike great athlete Eileen Gu. Alysa Liu is a traitor to her heritage and helps furthers imperialism throughout the world. 14 users liked this post: Chudder Barbarity, Kazuma_Kiryu, Keetongu, Jansen, BananaBlast, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, clockwork5, Propagandhim, Alpacx, Superstar, Potato, Orange Juice Box, benji, Taco Bell Tower
It's pretty funny that they decry the privilege of having non-poor parents, natural athletic ability and the learned drive to succeed as this incredible injustice but not the privilege of being born male or getting to live in the United States and during now. Both of which they vehemently deny existing because the moral system they cling to would punish them for both of those if applied consistently.
