To this day, I see Ape Escape merch all over Japan. Just today I saw some teenagers trying to win an Ape Escape plushie at a crane machine. When was the last one of these? Is it even about the games or liking goofy monkeys.

And on naughty dog and the state of PlayStation. There’s been a capsule machine series on PlayStation games. You get a mini case, mini cd/dvd, etc. So for PS1 and PS2 there’s an array of different games. The one I got was Ka/Mister Mosquito. Others were stuff like Everybody’s Golf or Ape Escape. The PS3/PS4 series is all Naughty Dog. Literally just Uncharted and Last of Us.
