It just sucks when we have to use the same mechanism to vote on empowering a marginalized group subjected to 250 years of genocide in a country full of racist dickheads.

The most hilarious part is that it didn't even require a vote. This advisory body could have been implemented with a simple Act of Parliament, which the government has the numbers to pass. 

Instead they chose to go the constitutional route by linking the advisory body to the constitutional recognition, resulting in the worst possible outcome for indigenous people.

To me it seems like the indigenous would rather sit at the table of the real government/parliament instead of creating some sort of advisory group that has no say in things but allows the left to pretend that they care.

Correct. The No vote being led by prominent Indigenous politicians was the key factor in 60% of the country voting No.

This whole shitshow was proposed and created by "progressive" white people to allow them to feel less guilty about what their ancestors did 100 years ago. There's a very good reason a huge majority of immigrants voted No.

Some questions about reddit though.

1. Was there a whole other subreddit before this one? I had it bookmarked years ago when Ben and Kyle were around but was met with " r/UneasyAlliance is a private community"
2. Is there a desktop/firefox extension that can make Reddit feel like less of a mobile app for lack of a better word?
3. This isn't some safe haven for everyone banned from elsewhere, right? I truly don't feel I'm transphobic/homophobic or otherwise racist or shitty to anyone
4.
