Fucking regards.
Counterpoint: the majority of people do not know or care about him. It’s true that many that do have a negative impression. But all the astroturfing and mainstream coverage and attempts to validate him have a meager impact. He’s playing to a small cult, who only converse with others in the cult, and extrapolate it to represent a normal people.

Counter counterpoint: enough people know just enough about him to know that his ideas are ridiculous and stupid and that enough Democratic voters think he's right to scare them from the sensible centre to the only alternative which is stupid right.

I'm terrible at recalling things I've read says the political analyst

I think Destiny is really downplaying his inability to answer any of those and saying he can't remember any movies or even song lyrics. And the excuse being that his brain is packed with information and then being unable to come up with anything for that before settling on a random false thing he heard somewhere. Dead

I've heard of this guy but never seen a him talk for more than 10 seconds. How can anyone watch this.

He goes from making a bad UFO joke, to talking about how war is bad, back to the same UFO joke to suddenly rambling about Jesus until the next flashy image distracts him.

People who watch political streamers and commentators are low intelligence idiots.

One of the craziest leftist Graham Platner endorsements was Kyle Kulinski saying he wanted Platner to fuck his mom and sister  lol

I still don't really understand how he even ended up with support in the first place, is it literally just cos he doesn't like Israel and posted about it online or something?

Do you mean Platner? I think it's simply because he's a manly guy with a "blue collar" job (oysters, lol) who wants/says he wants universal healthcare (and dislikes Israel). Like someone said yesterday, it's like a unicorn nowadays, so he has to be anointed. Same reason they're pushing Hasan so hard with his "MAGA body".

It's pretty clear that the "leftist aesthetic" is extremely off-putting for a lot of people. Even those who won't admit it know it.

The funny thing is that if you look at a Trump rally, the MAGA aesthetic is obese consanguinity, but they manage to make people believe they're the party of fit and hot people because of a handful of influencers.

Progressives are desperate for a MANLY MAN GUYS GUY who sounds like Hasan or whoever and they believe can convert all the Trump chuds from Joe Rogan.

He also had the major progressive media-connected PAC that flooded the left-friendly media for swooning coverage:

All the lockstep streamers and YouTubers and Blueskyers fell in line as always with whatever trend comes along.

In the case of Maine itself, he was actually doing a fairly standard outsider campaign against a not-so-popular 78 year old long-time Democratic power in the state (she's the Governor and had been Attorney General for a bunch of terms and her political career dates back to the 80s) who was essentially anointed before the campaign even started, so Platner, like Bernie with Hillary, benefited just from being another option. Him getting nationally popular meant he was getting flooded with cash and the Mills campaign's strategy seemed to be that she'd win by default just because she's Janet Mills. Mills only raised $6 million, Platner has gotten $16 million and spent $12 million of it. (And this is outdated, the latest quarter isn't in. I wouldn't be surprised if he's over $20 million now.) For Mills, they likely expected the real campaign to be the general because Susan Collins is one of the greatest Maine powers as a moderate, even socially liberal, old style New England Republican.

Progressive's idea of a working class man is a physically fit, downwardly mobile private schooled failson (see also: Hasan Piker).

They'll learn nothing and fall for the next Planter Class dude.

Leftists: Our ideas are secretly extremely popular! everyone you know is One of Us!

Also Leftists: We have to bet it all on this one specific candidate no matter the cost, otherwise any chance for relevance in US politics will be blown forever!
