I originally read that as a zionist named Jew E Cellar.
"Democrats failed you so hard you started voting Republican, but we'll make it so Republicans can never be elected ever again!" strikes me as a strange rallying cry.
edit: I suppose "We'll make Michigan and Wisconsin a single party state like California or New York!" wouldn't be quite as inspiring to them. 2 users liked this post: HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Alpacx

Imagine thinking Charlie Kirk was an extremist like you...

The funny part is that while they maybe haven't done it for Charlie Kirk, this has been a regular part of their content for years. Not Fox obviously, but the other two have always tried to show the most extreme supporters of Republicans and bring them up.
I can so easily think of an example because it was used against Republican candidates since the 1980s: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016/11/04/kkk-2016-election-donald-trump-david-duke-griffin-dnt-ac360.cnn Just search for this one example and you'll see endless mainstream media stories about Duke endorsing Trump, Trump waffling on the endorsement, then Trump trying to reject it while keeping his supporters, etc. You can go all the way back to George H.W. Bush condemning David Duke but the media asking him about him over and over again. Hasan probably thinks he's special rather than this being the norm when you say extreme things: https://abcnews.com/Blotter/DemocraticDebate/story?id=4443788&page=1' wrote:The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism." 1 user liked this post: HaughtyFrank
Actually, Duke is a pretty good comparison for Hasan as they have a very similar grifter career of a guy with no accomplishments advocating an extreme position in hopes of power based purely around their personal advocacy of that. Duke even settled into the earlier version of political streamer: talk radio host.
Duke's probably smarter though, he did merchandising and publishing! Also he regularly got himself on mainstream television as a guest. 2 users liked this post: killamajig, Polident

Hasan wishes he was Charlie Kirk with a left-wing equivalent of Turning Points but he's too lazy and too extreme for that.
Duke's a good shout, so is Fuentes (if Fuentes had the backing of Establishment GOP-leaning media like Hasan does with the Dems)

The Soviet's model was more direct intervention. That was more of a fall back when they couldn't invade themselves to impose a regime. It didn't really work anywhere. The US's batting average is so much higher because we preferred to back people who could win, so almost always the military rather than "groups", over only people who would be perfect submissives. Hence, the need for crushing the Czechs and Hungary. The Soviets became far less effective after Mao bucked them and their economy ceased to exist, culminating in Afghanistan where they invaded yet again to overthrow a communist.
This is a really nice clip for those who claim Hasan's overriding ideology, and thus benefit, is anti-imperialism. Which must mean it's out of context even though it's the same as everything he says. Spoiler: (click to show) 2 users liked this post: HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, HaughtyFrank

The soviets somehow managed to overthrow fewer neo-liberal foreign adversarial governments than Nepenthe has owned pitbulls

The US alienated everyone in the Americas and the Soviets still couldn't succeed in any of them. They hadn't backed Castro until after he came to power. And the "socialist" leaders had more success winning an election and simply making the rest fraudulent. Compare Ortega's success during and after the Soviets, for example.

I can easily imagine a good version of the Hasan act where you make stubborn old fashioned lefty points from a defensible if sometimes tenuous position but he doesn't do any of that its just edgy 4chan gamer shit including the antisemitisms

I like the part where the fawning neoliberal Zionist media, and so his fans, typically used to fretting about unapproved money in politics ignores that the material value of Hasan's support is in his supporters providing millions of dollars in donations to candidates in other states who otherwise would have no base for fundraising.

I know the typical response is "Oh so you have to be poor to be a socialist???" but there is a legitimate question to why he is focused on a high class life style. Like if the policies he advocates for actually happened he'd be taxed to shit for being a millionaire, it's very likely he wouldn't be able to afford the same quality of life so is the message just that he's living it up until the revolution? 3 users liked this post: HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, benji, Alpacx

Right. It's not like he has to go to the extremes of Charles Feeney. Quote:Mr. Feeney reversed his extravagant lifestyle, quitting wealthy social groups, flying economy class, buying his clothing off the rack and giving up fancy restaurants. He sold his limousines and took subways or cabs. He also resolved to give his money away anonymously, a course followed by only 1 percent of American givers, experts say. Quote:In his last decades Mr. Feeney did not own a home or a car, wore a $10 wristwatch, preferred buses to taxis and, until he was 75, flew coach. He and his second wife lived in a two-bedroom rented apartment in San Francisco. Hasan could rent a really nice apartment, own a nice Toyota, store brand clothes instead of his designer shit and lay off the Cartier and have a really comfortable life. 4 users liked this post: HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, benji, killamajig, HaughtyFrank

They can't because they're obsessed with status. This is why they come up with excuses like "I have to live/dress like this so people will take me seriously."
They want the state to do it because then it will happen to others too. And they assume they'll rise to the top anyway. What you're asking is that they voluntarily lower their status for no gain to themselves. 3 users liked this post: killamajig, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Alpacx

Only Isreal would ever want to ship anything through the Strait of Gibraltar and the current situation is that it's closed by two Spanish enclaves, one of which is 200+ miles from the Strait.
