Here's some wisdom from Hasan:

“Both on the left and the right—due to Red Scare propaganda, due to a lack of education around what it means to be a socialist or Marxist principles in general—people have this false understanding of what socialism is and what socialism isn’t,” says Piker. “Socialism has never been and will never be a poverty cult. That’s not what it is. As a matter of fact, it’s the exact opposite. It’s about uplifting others. It’s about earning your keep. I say this regularly from [popular video game] BioShock: ‘Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?’ It’s delivered by a supposed libertarian [character], but that is actually a socialist principle…. It’s wage laborers abolishing the profit motive and getting back more of the profits that they generate for their bosses. That’s the fucking point.”

I would love to hear more of Hasan's opinion on the "Korean issue" at length.

Found this from five weeks after the DPRK started the liberation of a people who had been united for over a thousand years:

[The Americans] are incarnations of the evil traitor Judas, who sold Jesus Christ our Lord. I ask-what chapter and what verse of the Bible says to kill people indiscriminately, to invade other countries, to take others' fortunes and turn them into slaves? Is it in the Old Testament? Is it in the New Testament? No! Neither in the Old Testament nor the New Testament is there such a verse and never could there be!

Semi-related, North Korea used to publish their propaganda as full-page ads in The New York Times (something, coincidentally, Donald Trump also used to do) among elsewhere and I think Hasan should start doing this too: https://archive.ph/SQOhg

Strange as it may sound today, North Korean ads such as this were relatively common in major Western newspapers from 1969 to as late as 1997.

In an attempt to impress the West during the Cold War (and beyond), the North Korean government placed full-page ads in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Irish Times, The London Times, The London Evening Standard, The Sun, The Boston Globe and The Washington Post touting the exploits of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, the Juche ideology and the reunification of Korea. An exact number of how many North Korean ads appeared in these newspapers is unknown but at least 100 were published from 1969-1997.

There's a hilarious one in the March 16, 1975 NYT I can't find a good picture of online, but you can see it in the online scan of the paper, it's two full-pages and all they did was publish some boring ass speech with picture of Kim Il Sung like the grain one above about "On Some Theoretical Problems of the Socialist Economy" from six years earlier in 1969.
