For real. It's been countless times where people are like "they're going for hyper realism" and I'm looking at this ocean of shitty DLSS5 showcases that look the opposite of real life and I'm a bit stunned that they think the outside world looks like what they're showing off.

Most of these models have been trained on things like porn or movies or TV or other shit, so it creates very unrealistic depictions of women because of it.

There's going to be a whole generation of dysmorphia caused by AI shit like this when someone can just run themselves through an AI program and what's spit out is them with all that shit layered on.

Anyone who thinks this looks good, I got to ask you:
Are LLMs worth it when considering the vast amounts of resources required to run them? I.e. people being without water, global warming etc?
Are LLMs worth it when considering how expensive tech is becoming because of the AI companies buying all chips?
Are LLMs worth it when considering that they're trained on data by people who have not been compensated?
Are LLMs worth it considering the people losing their jobs?

I can argue for hours about all of the reasons I find LLMs to be a death knell to what it means to be a human, but the above are at least more practical in comparison to my more philosophical arguments.

It is reported it's just reported in the worst timeline possible. "Male loneliness epidemic" and the epidemic in question is partially caused by men genuinely not knowing what women look and act like thus not being able to be normal around them.

Now here's where AI plays a part, the idea of every woman in media being homogenized into a "YOU WONTLAST FIVE MINUTES" ad is gonna do damage.

I guess there is something to be said about the centralized reporting on the loneliness of men instead of the most robust reporting on how this is going to fuck up dysmorphia for women even more in some cases.

I know this is a totally ban worthy opinion that should result in generational gulag, but like, that is kind of amazing on many levels? I know it isn't perfect but if it can do this now as a community mod thing it can do anything. Recently, I started playing Mafia: The Old Country on PS5 using the Sicilian dub and it honestly sounds so natural that I haven't thought what the original English VO sounds like. I don't mind reading the subtitles like some other people as it doesn't really disconnect me from the universe.



Are there other Western games where the non-English VO sounds better than the original version? I think many would say the Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei games sounds better in the Japanese dub considering the developers scouted some really good voice talent in that department. But I want to know *your* picks. Which Western games have surprisingly good dubs? Which do you recommend playing with different dubs? Share! Discuss!

The heat was a nightmare. Not nearly enough shade and water stations anywhere.

If they can't ban people for wrongthink then they'll just find a way to kill the discussion entirely (ideally it will eventually lead to adding nvidia to the banned content list).
