This sounds like the author got really mad at the premise of Y: The Last Man and wrote this out of frustration. It might as well have a part about how the protagonist’s skills in building Gunpla, watching anime and playing JRPGs proved essential in surviving the apocalypse like one of those zombie apoc fantasies. 
 

The funny thing is that Y The last Man is still a female empowering take on the “last man on earth” concept, if just more ‘realistic’.

If you're referring to the calls out, the OP has been made aware on several occasions about the person in question being promoted (Sacha Baron Cohen). And despite being informed about their problematic background and their racist ideologies, they've made at least another 7 or so recent threads promoting this person's film career. In the space of a month or two. I haven't engaged each time, but the reaction is predictable. You're not entirely wrong but I think the normalization of such hateful people is not welcome one either.
