Welp finally finished the game. Overall it wasn’t bad. Surprisingly easy really. Although I imagine less experienced players than myself will struggle with it.

Yeah I feel like the photorealistic art style is part of the problem. It's like superheroes look pretty silly in live action, so movies have to do a bunch of stuff to make them feel more believable and grounded. But videogames don't have that problem, making them realistic and grounded is a choice. I feel like a style more like Marvel Rivals or Arcane could have been fun. Then you could do air combos, double jumps, have Wolverine move more like an animal, without it looking weird with a scanned, realistic actor.

I mean… not really. Maybe they are not 100% photorealistic but we have seen East Asian games going full anime with realistic character designs.  

The problem is western AAA devs prioritize photorealistic graphics as a way of immersion, and more important than gameplay to them. I’m not one of those that go “dur dur western studios suck  ” but is not excusable that those studios are still trapped on “serviceable but not good combat unless is a FPS” at this point.

Then again, I also enjoyed GoW Reboot combat over the old Hack slash games, so my tastes differ. 

NG4 is a Focus M-ass game but it also doesn't have like, 1/4 of its running time be cutscenes or walk n talks nor does it expect you to have much emotional investment in its story or characters.

If any games can be tolerable in that sort of shtick it’s the meat and potatoes action games that get straight to the point.

Funny enough, two of Platinum most celebrated games are the ones that try to actually tell a story and has memorable characters.   Both games were written by their contractors.

I've been trying to think of a game that is comparable to Wolverine and it finally hit me - the most similar type of experience is a game like Ryse. Both games have but somewhat shallow combat mechanics and both have similar pacing/story telling ambitions. Ryse was also not that well received.

Wolverine is noticeably longer and has more set-piece moments but they share a lot of similarities. I felt alone in my enjoyment of Ryse back in the day so it kinda makes sense.

Testosterone levels drop and start loosing muscle mass, get body aches and it will be harder to workout. She will start growing boobs and maybe even grow hair. TLDR, The Rock would be unrecognizable after a year of HRT from muscle loss

I guess the question is when should the rock be allowed to play women's sports? Immediately after transitioning or before? Maybe I've missed it as it's very hard to research this issue but why don't democrats come out with a comprehensive plan with baseline testing or something that would give trans athletes a pathway to compete based on science. The right constantly throws out the fear that macho man Randy savage will want to box women but seems like it could be very very easy to put those fears to rest with rules. Sports already have an insane amount of rules to try and make competition "fair". Doesn't help that you have douche bags try to enter the WNBA draft just to fear monger people. They are not doing it to "protect women" that's 100% BS.

The council I work for sent round information that anyone 'required' to self isolate will get full pay, but I don't know how that's going to be applied by managers, and of course 'required' is a term that can be interpreted in lots of different ways.
