So one thing I been wondering about re: the trannnies looking forward is, how are things going for future trannnies?

Are todays 7 year olds more, or less likely to see this as a lifestyle now? Or rather 10 years from now when they're finishing high school / entering adulthood etc?

My kids (19 n 17) seem to indicate the new recruits are dwindling irl. But of course anecdotal.

Mid-30s autists today, are a finite resource. Hadn't seen any stats either way, but should be interesting depending.

funny ass interaction. the decomp thread is a lolcow magnet, all the worst people gathered together to purity test each other to hell and back. the people behind these decomps are just hobbyists working on their own personal projects but the moral warriors of REEEE won't have that at all.
 

I'm specifically talking about the use of GenAI for art—and yes, you're right; I actually hate everything that's going on, but... they're using AI in MAME. Virtua Fighter, a game I waited 30 years to see emulated, is finally running because they used AI, and it works well... not to mention advancements in other games. Some members of the team that has been working on MAME since the beginning has no problem saying they are using it. I've used MAME basically every month of my life since 1997, so what can I do about it?

And yes, I feel incredibly guilty about it and am looking for some kind of middle ground to resolve this personal issue; my decision to drop my anti-AI stance isn't set in stone, but anyway, I don't want to derail this thread too much.

That reminds me, I saw the Odyssey the other day (excellent film but not a good adaptation of the odyssey  ) and is funny that my impression is that Elliot Page is just going to get typecasted as “juvenile soldier/man” even if s/he is in her/his forties.

He fell into the trap of thinking just because Hollywood supported his transitioning that meant he'd continue getting good roles. He's 5ft 1 or something. He can't do cute indie girl anymore.
