Watching all these bodycam videos I started thinking how funny it would be to rat out my misses to the cops. Then I started watching her while she was driving to see if there was anything I could report her for but nothing. Then she started getting suspicious about all the attention I was paying to her. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm guilty of something and is trying to work out if she should call the cops.

She didn't show up. I've got no idea why and I'm not sure if I even care.

She had to work late so co-workers asked her to join for dinner, they didn't stop talking about work yada yada yada.
 
Anyway now she knows she can ask for a raise etc. seems like a typical career woman very proud of all the hard work she does.
Funny enough she reminds me of myself at that wonderful age of 29. She doesn't yet know that all the promotions and stripes are just bullshit. 
She missed out on a much better restaurant and a good time to instead talk with people who can only talk about work. 

I acted as if the whole thing was no big deal and made a little fun of their bad restaurant choice.
She has to get up at 5:30 and be at work early I told her to wake me at 8:30. 

Setting boundaries has worked wonders. co-workers now ask me for 5 or 10 minutes of my time pretty please.

Why is Cinco de Mayo more popular than Mexican Independence Day in America?

And do Mexicans celebrate one more than the other in Mexico (or the U.S.)?

IIRC, Mexicans "celebrate" Cinco de Mayo because of American tourists more than legitimately. It was a mostly irrelevant holiday.

I imagine later generation Latinx Americans largely pick it up because they're American more than anything related to their heritage.

Got invited to a breakfast next week with the secretary of labor, the head economist of a big bank and the CEO of Airbus. 
They're going to present and talk about the government budget and economic plans. 

Our government has no support in parliament for any of the plans so they're on thin ice.

Downloaded my Bumble data since late 2024. ~2.7% of women swipe right on my profile. I swipe right on ~8.5%. 

That is slightly below the average of 4% - 5% that women swipe right in general. Overall I've been swiped by ~30k women. And I've swiped ~10k. On 40k profiles I've had 1700 matches. So ~4.5%. 

I didn't get the impression that there were so many profiles. The supply is bigger than expected but that goes for the other side as well. 

Not sure what the next step is if any. With the one that didn't show up I realized I cared more about the time wasted and missing out on steak dinner than I did about the date itself.

Anyway I didn't even think to check Tinder while I was there. When I got back from home I did check and I had literally dozens of matches. I got excited until I noticed they were all from the benelux region. Which was flattering, but also at that point was thousands of miles away. I had (and have) a reverse nintex thing going on. Few matches, but every one a slam dunk. 

So I leaned into acceptance and married one of them eventually.

Well technically I married two of them (I had to divorce the first one ).

Anyway I'm going to meet up with the guy I made my first websites for way back in 2010 - 2012 next week.
He taught me the basics of business, consultancy and how to sell. Going back to where it all started.

Had a good call as career development and recruitment is his expertise. He told me to send my resume and vacancies I've applied to so far. His motivation differs from everyone else. He's having trouble selling his 3rd house but he feels bad that guys like me haven't been able to buy even a single house. He recently placed two people for which there were no job openings but the organization shaped new roles around them.

Mr. Rogers has been sabotaged. I will tell him soon. But his guy inside the government that runs the province supports the anti-AI movement. Liking posts about how it is a colonial technology and people are waking up that AI is evil blah blah blah. Ironically Mr. Rogers was born in a colony and fully supports AI. Or the guy "pretends" so he's not harassed by the woke mob for working on AI projects, that's also possible. It's insane that the left politicized technology to this extend.

He caught this and he's now making good progress. Although I'm not sure I believe everything he says. He's going to share some things soon and is hoping that I will change my mind and tag along.

The business guy called too. He cut things off with my boss who was all pissed at him. 
We're having lunch early October.

It's kind of crazy having to deal with gate keeping HR and recruiters who started in tech during or after COVID. Screening shit they have no clue about. 

I wasn't sure about Mr. Rogers claim that the opportunity was there but if everyone else moves as slow as this he might have a point that we can actually pull this off together. I'm just very weary about start-ups as they've never worked out for me personally. Additional effort for a pay off that never arrives.
