Ok, I finally looked into this to see what the fuss is all about. I was expecting to see an actual parallel to the Petra Parker, character is transitioning type narrative, or hell, even a force fem variant. All I see is fucking Rule 63! Are we (as a community) getting bent out of shape over one of a nearly infinite Rule 63'd problematic characters/properties?

I am so disappointed in us. Had we just stuck to our guns and not engaged with this property, we would have been better off. But no, we need to Streisand Effect this, make it a big deal when it isn't (in so much as general Rule 63 is an issue.) Somebody pull up the thread where Netflix looked to be acquiring WB and look at the responses in it. We actually had people on this forum WANTING this outcome. And now here we are.

Consolidation is fucking gross but Netflix would've been infinitely better than this shitshow.

But congrats, I guess. Basically every form of media is owned by fascists now and with the crippling debt (not to mention Ellison's Oracle bubble popping), I can only hope these properties survive until Netflix and others can pick up the pieces in a few years time.
