It's crazy that it's finally ending. I've watched since it debuted. I rewatched from the beginning with my mom during S5 and again during S12 with my fiancee (hi MUFFIN.), which doesn't count the numerous episodes I've rewatched.

The show ending is weirdly emotional.

Honestly, I don't think it's strange that some don't know this stereotype. I just had to explain it to my white-as-hell fiancee who legitimately never heard of it before.

I recently rewatched the entire series from beginning to end with my fiancee (who has an account, MUFFIN., but doesn't post) and season 12 ended up being her favorite season specifically because of that. Nothing will ever top 4/5 in my eyes but it was interesting going through everything, episode to episode, all over again

Did anyone keep consciously thinking "Wow, this movie is black AF!" while watching it? Like, I was legit wondering if any white people in the audience were getting uncomfortable with it, but I was enthralled to care too much. Made me realize just how normalized I was to seeing white people on the big screen. It was such a surreal experience.

It's funny, people always ask, "Where are the cats?" if they come over. We split them between two rooms most of the time because of one my fiancee's is a jerk to my cats and we have to separate them.

We clean the house well, change the litter when we get up and get home from work, air fresheners, etc.

Mine are named after Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts characters (Sora and Kairi with their kids, Rikku, Yuna and Roxas). Her cats and and the rescues we've gotten since moving in together: Walrus, Penguin, Dolphin, Goldfish, Squid.

Yeah, we don't want kids.

He has quite a few Era posts mentioning how he and his fiancee will never have kids. No mention of a fiancee (or wife) after 2019.

I realize the OP didn't intend it, but suggesting other devs don't put the same amount of effort into their games really feels like calling them "lazy devs"

The lack of effort on the part of the game devs is rarely if ever why a game fails, devs and artist in fact the ones working their arses off making those games as good as they are often suffering to make a bad game playable for little to no reward; less so in fact given the industry's "rewards" being layoffs and harassment from angry fans and emotional damage from the experience of making the games.

It's kind of why it's irking me a lot seeing people throw Bioware's devs under the bus in this thread, like did no one read Jason's articles, "lack of effort" from the devs was NOT the problem with games like Anthem, Andromeda and Veliguard and it's AMAZINGLY insulting to the sheer effort and brutal conditions they were put through to suggest it was. Much of their problems was poor leadership, fuckery by EA (like the forced use of the Frostbite engine and constantly changing what the game even was in Veilguard's case) and constantly changing goals, scope, forced deadlines etc; None of which changes just because you throw more money at people or even time and none of which is on the devs working crunch so bad Bioware.

Like over budgeting something can actually be bad, like in both games and other media, it can result in bloat or adding stuff in JUST to justify the budget. Throwing money and a problem is not good game development, a sign of good leadership is good budgeting. We shouldn't be wanting every game to have ballooned budgets, that simply isn't good.

Same with GameFreak or all other devs being mentioned, this straight up just comes across as attacking devs for being involved in games people in this thread didn't like as if that wasn't something to feel bad for which is honestly just gross; no dev should be shamed for working their arse on a game you didn't like, it's no some personal slight on you, it's just the creative process, some games succeed some fail, grow up. Stop blaming the people with the least amount of power here and the ones working their arses off.

And like no, we shouldn't be encouraging, "suffering" as some sort of positive or something we should be wanting devs to go through. Do people still seriously believe crunch and putting devs through the wringer were their barely getting sleep, going home or seeing their families just to make a game is a good thing? That it make them put in more "effort"? Why is that an option? Why would we want that on anyone in game industry?

And I reject the notion that budget = Quality, guess no indie game can never be considered good and brilliant because it lacks GTA6's budget and "effort". Just because no other game plays like GTA6 or it's artstryle (I guess none of us here have actually played it) means other games are inferior or bad. Same way a Blockbuster with $350 million+ Budget isn't automatically better than a Personal film made for -$1million. Other games will, have and do exist that are just as good as GTA6, it's always the case because in the end "quality" and "fun" are subjective.

GTA6 is just another game like every other game and the Devs were no more or less putting more effort then that other Devs in the industry. Anything else to me feels like fanboyism need to take swipes at other Devs. We shouldn't do this, we shouldn't need to insinuate Devs are lazy, incompetent or less capable then Rockstar because GTA6 is next hyped game.
