It kind of proves that Nintendo and TPC/Gamefreak don’t care about the quality of the games if they can get away with it and people are thirsty for Monster games outside of the Nintendo ecosystem. 

The fact that it sounds like is a genuinely decent game and run well even though is in early access, is kind of telling specially since how many excuses have been said for Pokemon games piss poor performances. 

This is also about identity and branding, Nintendo fans are the Disney fans of video games and are not ashamed to act like being above all.

its cool if you like survival ark/conan exiles type of thing. chopping trees, building stuff, etc but with pokemon and gats. and you can make the pokemon into slaves to build your stuff and farm for you. there's boss fights and other pve stuff so there's something to build towards and goals to accomplish. not super fun solo but if you've got a group together in discord voice chat it's real good.

xbox/pc gamepass version doesn't have crossplay with steam and there's no real timeline for it being added, that's the big drawback right now

I don't know how much the rest of you know about PC culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is on Consoles where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over on PC, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Steam Deck community, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Monster Hunter Wilds for Steam Deck, nor will they purchase any of Capcom's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Capcom has alienated an entire market with this move.
Capcom, publicly apologize and remove DRM from Monster Hunter Rise or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I don't think I've seen a single design that wasn't ripped right from pokemon.
Until we see one I think it's probably safe to say that there aren't any.

They didn't copy anything. Besides most early Pokemon designs were copies of monsters from Dragon Quest.
I'll make a prediction, Nintendo is reaching out to that developer right now to get this hit game on Switch 2 at launch.

Developers like that soy from Naughty Dog are just big mad whenever someone succeeds in doing what they can't. The budget for Palworld was like $6.7 million. The lead developer didn't know how Unity worked so they switched to Unreal. The lead artist was denied a job at many other game publishers/developers and they have many people working on it with little to no game development experience at all.

What Nintendo is going to shut down though are those "Pokemon Palworld" fan mods that are popping up.

I've played Palworld for nearly 20 hours and I'm still playing it. I'm enjoying my time with it. That doesn't mean I enjoy every single aspect of it and won't criticize it when warranted. The AI in this game fucking sucks, and anybody that denies that is clearly playing a very different game.
