The equivalency in power depends upon the amount of folks on both sides, the training involved with the militia (lol), and the locations involved in battle.

The fact of the matter is everyone owns guns, not just conservatives who would be crazy enough to want to do this, so firepower isn't actually in contention (no joke, I literally heard gunfire in the far distance while typing this, and I live in a solidly blue district.) Second is the fact that it is liberals and leftists who showed out for the biggest civil rights movement in American history four years ago- the amount of folks on our side you can activate under the right conditions literally dwarfs the right-wing blowhards by hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Third is also the fact that urban warfare would definitely be a variable in our favor, and at the very least I imagine city dwellers would have an easy field advantage against a ground attack.

I don't think this nonsense, assuming it comes to pass, would be a complete massacre in favor of the MAGAts unless you're going to start trying to get the actual military involved, but we also know from a recent study that the military is actually less radicalized than the general population is (it's amazing that meeting a person's physical and social needs makes them less likely to be a Nazi.) What is the likelihood you get all of them, or even a significant majority of them, onboard with a fucking ground invasion against American civilians? That would be absolute chaos.

Yeah, I'm not buying it chief. But that also doesn't answer the question, which is asking what "should" minorities realistically do. The answer is that "should" is irrelevant- it will be inevitable that many of us will go down swinging. In the case of such an event, I'm asking if minorities should be unarmed and get slaughtered simply because the statistical likelihood of dying by suicide or by accident goes up exponentially with gun ownership.

Apart from this being transparently race war fan fic, if I think of the stereotypical mentalist american gun nut, I am thinking new world order black helicopters weirdo paramilitary types living in military compounds in the middle of nowhere and LARPing Tom Clancy novels.

I had multiple chances to walk away and I should have taken any one of them, but I started signing shit...perhaps if I stopped being a dumbass I could have taken a closer look, and noticed that the price of the loan was something like $36K, a whole $12K higher than what they were advertising it for. they also lied to us and told us that this was going to be a 72 month term, but only after getting mail from Capital One weeks later did we learn that it was an 84 month term.

Peace and/or a ceasefire I don't think are real possibilities unfortunately. Hamas is dedicated to killing as many Israelis as they can and Netanyahu is now dedicated to an offensive that wipes out Hamas and sees the collateral damage that causes as a happy bonus.

October 7th was the paradigm shift. Hamas gave Netanyahu Israel's own 9/11. Which I think that Netanyahu knew about in advance and chose to let happen. It was the excuse for the aggressive offensive that he had been waiting his entire career for and once it happened Hamas outlived its political usefulness to him.

Netanyahu just has to be removed and I think the only real way that happens is if you can pressure the rest of his ruling party to turn on him and force him out.

I don't actually know how legitimate Israel's elections are and if he lost support and voters wanted him out if he'd allow that kind of electoral result to happen.

In what way? If that was their goal, they wouldn't have bothered to take prisoners and keep them alive. Listen... as much as I don't agree with Hamas's ideology or methods, they have a legal right to resist their oppressors. Once this is all over, should they be taken to account for potential war crimes? Sure. But the same with Israel... and I can assure you the list of their crimes is much longer.

Despite the tagline that gets repeated constantly in the media, Israel does not have a right to defend itself from those that it occupies within its own territory.
