Yea, idk, I definitely wouldn't call the swimsuit infantile or say that it looks like a tween outfit. I'm 23, and I think it's cute.
I think when looking at stuff like outfits, it's important to not view it from a purely western perspective. That's not to say you can't criticize stuff, because you can, but saying that an outfit is intended to infantilize a character just because from a western perspective, it would be considered immature for an adult to wear, seems a bit unfair to me.

I mean...it's in the game, and many many western people are going to play it. I don't know how frilled swimsuits are seen in Japan, but there is only one way to view it from a western perspective. There is nothing unfair about calling as we see it.

Yes, western people are going to play it, but it is ultimately a Japanese game made by Japanese people. Hence why I don't think it makes any sense to say they were trying to make Tifa seem infantile with the swimsuit simply because said swimsuit would be viewed as childish in the western world. I mean, someone above stated that the frills are normal for young women to wear in Japan. But that's just my two cents.

So long story short, my wife and I went shopping for clothes the other day at our local Goodwill, and I ended up saying, fuck it, I'm going to shop in the women's section. I'm currently exploring my gender identity having come to the realization that I think I'm non-binary.

It's honestly kind of liberating? So I decided to check out the women's clothing section and it's as I always suspected --- women's clothes are so much better than men's clothing. The colors, the patterns, different fabrics and textures --- holy shit, I can't believe this has been here the whole time. And jackets, oh my God I'm a whore for jackets. The men's section no lie was an entire rack of grey sport coats. The women's section? Holy shit, the options. Lol. Ended up spending close to $100 on clothes and I only think two or three items were from the men's section. Thoughts? Opinions?

Also, I know this isn't probably a big deal for most of you, but for me it was awesome.
