I have a racist as hell neighbour, I just try and dodge him as much as possible. I feel a little bad, as he helped me out during a pretty bad emergency in 2020...but he's absolutely vile to be around and listen to.

If he's so vile why'd he help you, a neighbor who goes out of your way to dodge him, out of a sticky situation?  

Gonna guess the neighbor doesn’t like him either and calls him that wacko libtard next door. But still respects the contract of supporting the community. A duty that’s unlikely reciprocated by guys like that.

Bleeding out. Ask neighbor to phone the ambulance. “First, tell me if you played Forspoken.”

I've heard it said a few times regarding different divides - west coast/east coast, north/south, urban/rural, that one will act incredibly friendly but their smile is disingenuous and they secretly hate you and will never offer help, and the other will scowl and be blunt but will absolutely help you out of a jam every time

That's what it seems like. I've had neighbors who are annoying but if you ask them for help they will do it without delay because it's the neighborly thing to do.

It's dumb too because Superman sometimes has time travel powers, so just go back in time and establish a system that does it for you. Hell, just do this anyway without the time travel since nobody can stop you. Why get your hands dirty for such meager results? You really want to commit to personally policing the globe?
