I'm a old man relative to most gamers these these day and I cringed so much when watching that Stellar Blade demo on a stream. How anyone could play that game without cringing, shaking their head, or feeling the least bit icky is beyond me.

Aphrodite was a spartan war god and Aphroditus was the god of trans women but I think I want to give it to hera because shes also the goddess of childbirth and maybe she could give me a uterus if I asked nicely, but if I had a choice i'd give it to Artemis because she's the god of unmarried women (The greek conception of maidenhood) so that means I could maybe kiss a lot of lesbians.

I'm mildly curious if anyone internally at sony studios is also raising a stink over this game. It pretty funny that this is coming with a big Sony endorsement

I would not be surprised if there was a lack of leadership during Jim Ryan years. Seems that a lot of decisions could change at the drop of a hat. 

Sony is involved with a lot of horny and lucrative mobile games, so I was surprised how they decided to kill fan service games in consoles.

Just like the decision to censor was business for Sony, I think the decision to reverse course has also been purely about business.

Sony with their censorship regime is watching not just South Korean fan service Gacha eating their lunch but also Hentai games dropping on Nintendo eShop weekly and stealing the audience they had on PSP/Vita. Not to mention Nintendo themselves publishing blushy crushy and 9000 year old dragons. PlayStation was probably hoping to score some points with the burqa brigade in the US if they danced to their tune but that never happened.

But yeah, we've crossed the rubicon if Nintendo stays on course and only the dying Xbox in third place will have censorship (in fact Microsoft mandates ESG stuff at their studios, changing main characters from white to black and such).

The game was initially announced for PC, with console ports possibly later. I think it'll probably hit Steam in the not-too-distant future. ShiftUp isn't exactly strapped for cash, they recently had or will soon have an IPO with a valuation in the billions after all, and the main reason Kim Hyung-Tae left Team Bloodlust to start ShiftUp was that he wanted ownership over his projects if I remember correctly, so I doubt they signed a long-term, let alone permanent exclusive deal with Sony.

This is honestly way better than I thought it would be.

the combat pacing is so good. Not too fast/chaotic, not too slow/weighty - still deliberate, still challenging

Honestly think I might pick it up at launch. Definitely resonated with me better than the demo for Lies of P.
