Yeah it must be exhausting to live in the constant cycle of hate and misery about things that really shouldn't even be real problems in the first place. Like it's hard to imagine what this does to one's mind when you've been looping around all this for like 30+ years in your head and still can't get over it. You are just getting more and more triggered about everything from the tiniest of sparks. It's like it's so deeply ingrained into them that it feels more like reflex to shout out WOKE to every little thing that even slightly deviates from what they feel like is "acceptable". I wish that people would just get more accepting in general but I'm just worried about this current trajectory.

Im in a gaming fb group that keeps talking about this game and showing off random ass screenshots zoomed in on the MC's ass or some garbage costumes that shows a fuck ton ( like that skin thigh suit that i didn't even know existed in the demo) and those pictures coming seemingly from trailers for the game I havent watched.

at that point I was expecting the MC to just be showing off her ass in every single animation during combat or while using skills or whatever, and it didnt seem to be the case while playing the demo (expect the opening cutscene where she comes out the pod half naked for funsies)

and no, i didnt notice her boobs swaying or whatever while climbing a ladder because.. its not something I look at or zoom into while climbing a ladder for 5 seconds? nor did I even notice the butt while opening chests because its not something I actively try to look at and I also just usually look at my phone during downtime animations.

I actually had my sister play the demo before me and she didn't seem to find the fanservice too stupid. I was even happy when i saw there was costume options that seemed to hide a lot more than the basic outfit for the MC but yea some users love to go off misrepresenting others. jeez.

and to me quiet in mgs5 was absolutely way worse than whatever ive experienced in this demo. mgsv was a long time ago and I forgot most of it but didnt quiet literally have a scene where she strip dances in the rain???

So people have been asking me, where is Perfect Dark, Fable, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, HALO, Gears of War, PGR, Conker, Banjo where is all this stuff that you used to do. Look we'd love to make games but we've ran the numbers and these days you just can't make a game without having that level of inclusivity and diversity that is important to so many players. There is also culture, for example something that might appeal to players in the United States might not be as interesting for players in Sudan or Zimbabwe. The time that you could just release your game, sell a million copies and recoup your costs that's over in fact that has been over for well over a decade. Your game also needs this latency level that works well with the Cloud and while these goalposts are moving we're still not there yet in terms of you press a button and its instant. So you have to be smart about your investment and where you put that effort to get to a sustainable business model for this industry.

You can't just say for example and I'm simplifying things to illustrate this but I think you get the point. You can't just say take something that is popular like Fire Emblem, Dark Souls or even cult hits like NIER and Bayonneta add some anime girls without thinking about minority representation, throw out some tweets, get 9/10 review scores from a very small group of your core playerbase and call it a day. Sorry to break it to you but that is just not how it works.
