Quote:UPDATE (8:15 p.m.) - Illinois State University Police arrested seven students Friday evening for refusing to end a sit-in outside the president’s office where they protested Israel’s war in Gaza.

The seven are believed to be members of the ISU branch of Students for Justice in Palestine. They have been suspended by the university in addition to being jailed on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing on state property.

They’re expected to appear for hearings Saturday in McLean County Court to determine if they’ll remain jailed until the criminal cases are resolved.

Oh man.. Poor guy.
How will noodlesoup give us updates now?!
Make sure to donate to my Ko-fi for noodlesoup's bail fund. We don't need any dental dams or whatever, just cash will do.

Good God this behavior is appalling. One of those guys is grabbing his crotch?? Where is the administration throwing these guys out of school.

How long will the hunger strike last? I doubt none of them can live long without their Starbucks and Chick-fil-A

Sounds like they're blaming their moms for not handfeeding them.

Disgusting!
Quote:Fourteen students have joined the hunger strike, organizers said early Friday. They plan to strike until the administration meets with students to discuss disclosure about their investments, and about divestment and cultural and academic boycott of Israel, they said. They also called for amnesty from criminal and disciplinary charges for participants of the sit-in, and to reverse campus bans and evictions of students from housing.

Oh no.. Giving up walking for graduation? Such a sacrifice..!
The hunger strike is gonna last weeks before outsiders notice they’re starving.
How much of the aid Biden is shipping into Gaza is comprised of dental dams?
maybe already posted, but from reddit:

Quote:The user quoted has 116,000+ posts on Era (I didn't miss a zero). Always remember that when you read a post of theirs (usually negative in every shape and form humanly imaginable). I find myself pretty damn addicted to the internet but that particular person actually has a real problem. Era is the only thing going on in that person's life. Clearly.

I did some quick math on it. Era was established about ~2400 days ago (Oct, 2017) which means this person is averaging nearly 50 posts per day. Every day. Since the website began. Let's not forget that this poster types out HUGE multi-paragraph posts like a third of the time (and I'm being generous).

If the cause is so important that they're willing to be expelled from their Ivy League school or majorly impact their health or even die if they're persistent with their hunger strike (they won't be), shouldn't they have done their due diligence first before committing to that college and look into what it was investing in and if it was buying HP computers? It's not like Gaza started being an open air prison on October 7th, right.
Rhetorical question as we all know they didn't give a shit about that a mere 10 days ago. I'm outside the US and even here all the hippy college kids have started jumping on the bandwagon as they couldn't pass on a spring camping experience with the comrades. I bet they held their breath combing through the investment portfolio of their college, hoping they'd find a nefarious investment in there. Best part is the media are lionizing them. I've heard a political commentator today describe them as "mature and geopolitically savy". lol

That’s the thing. Any sane person who wants to help the people of Gaza and sees hiv tests, plan b and dental dams(urgent!) is going to just donate directly to Palestinian Aid organizations instead of donating contraceptives for their little camp out.
Hope they dont kill themselves because of being exiled.
Absolutely haram.

They haven’t considered consequences because in the past their tantrums haven’t had consequences.

That’s the unique(?) discussion among right leaning guys. Some are happy to see fashion commies get pushback. Others don’t like that it’s done in the spirit of supporting jews. Guess there’s a third group that hates muslims, but supports the cause because they hate jews more. Strange bedfellows.
