I did some quick math on it. Era was established about ~2400 days ago (Oct, 2017) which means this person is averaging nearly 50 posts per day. Every day. Since the website began. I'd say you can safely ignore the dramatic cries of "don't move to TERF island," the average person doesn't really care and ultimately this is one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly countries in the world, certainly one of the most in Europe.

My girlfriend is currently undergoing the process of coming here on a working holiday visa, based on your replies in this thread that would be your best option. You're young so you can get away with just coming here and enjoying yourself a couple of years, work in the service sector etc.

Not the best of times but still a great country. Generally quite friendly and welcoming, which is what you want as an expat. Live in the north, it's much cheaper than the south. Weather is the worst of it but Europe is a £20 return flight away.

If you have access to someone from Iranian diaspora, please talk to them. Ask them about the 1979 revolution, and all the shit that happened before and after it.
