A general rule is a politician from a majority shouldn't be making rules for a minority. Like cisgender politicians shouldn't be deciding the fates of trans people, white people shouldn't be deciding the fates of black people, able bodied and able minded people shouldn't be creating policies for disabled people etc.

Most notably for a forum predominantly focused on video games, this includes the 2023 release Hogwarts Legacy, or any other past (and future) titles based on the property. Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red are both connected to a history of transphobia. In regards to the developer, they have made two transphobic tweets - one from the official CP2077 account, and one from their launch platform GOG.com. When it comes to the game itself, it contains a myriad of transphobic elements that are of deep discomfort to trans people and the wider trans community, from its offending elements to outright fetishization. Cyberpunk 2077 is a transphobic game - something that isn't up for debate - and therefore, it is a banned subject on Famiboards in the interest of keeping the site safe and inclusive. This ban extends to discussion and promotion of the game itself, sequels and spinoffs, and other related and future spinoff media including Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Far right news sites, YouTubers, and figures
Far right news websites, YouTubers, and figures stand completely opposed to Fami's values, and are synonymous with distorting the truth. Do not share links to these organizations and people, including ones like Newsmax, Breitbart, Daily Mail, Russian state media RT, etc.

4chan and all related sites
The forum culture and typical content produced by 4chan is at odds with Famiboards values in numerous ways, to where we hope this one is self-explanatory. We will not be hosting any direct links to the site, nor embedded content from other sites that happen to contain 4chan links. This applies to all related chan sites as well, like the significantly worse 8chan. An allowed exception to 4chan content is screencaps of rumored / leaked information for gaming and other media, provided they don’t have offensive content in them.

Insider Gaming
Tom Henderson, writer for and owner of video game news / rumor site Insider Gaming, engaged in ableist language and generally dismissive commentary surrounding the launch of the aforementioned Hogwarts Legacy. It is clear that his values and ours are not in alignment, and as such, Famiboards will not be directly hosting articles from the Insider Gaming site, nor tweets from the Insider Gaming Twitter account (@InsiderGamingIG) or Tom Henderson's own account (@_Tom_Henderson_).

Zippo
Widely regarded dubious insiders like Zippo with abysmal track records are already banned from having threads centered on their content on Famiboards, and are banned from threads like Future Nintendo Hardware that have higher sourcing standards. Zippo however, is banned from the site as a whole, due to his long running history of antagonism towards the community dating back to Nintendo Era that has continued forward. We have seen firsthand on his blog where he has name dropped and made extensive insults towards active Fami members. This ban won’t be as heavily moderated as other more serious topics, but we ask all the same do not bring Zippo and his content to Famiboards due to how he has hurt our members.

OTHER

AI generated art, images, videos, text, etc.
AI art content is generated through neural networks trained on the work of human artists. In the overwhelming majority of cases, said artists did not provide their consent, and are not credited nor compensated for this. Famiboards will not support AI art theft, and as such, posting or promoting AI art content is prohibited. Additionally, Famiboards does not support posts or threads generated entirely or primarily by AI, as we come to Famiboards to engage with real humans.

Wow, mad respect for these mods for endangering their own lives by writing down the rules their users have to follow. I hope B-dubs has let them know how dangerous that is.

This has been a terrible situation for both Sony and gamers, but it's been a boon for my ignore list. We've got corporate bootlickers coming out of the woodwork to defend Sony and slander PC gamers as a whole.

I don't think we can admit that at all. Capital is far more available now than it was in the past. Home loans and college loans have never been given out as easily as now, they're both massively subsidized by the government and have been for decades. Then you have the fed's low interest rates for all our lives.

A home, college and even food were lower in dollar value in the past but they were far more of your paycheck. You used to have to actually have capital to get loans too.

Our parents and grandparents didn't buy homes where people already lived, they created the suburbs and entire cities.
