The golden age of the internet from 2000-2013 will never be forgotten by me, nor experienced by any future generations. An era where every community had its own forum, its own culture, its own lore and memes and relationships and policies and games and lives. A world where you could pop into a random website, start posting about this thing you love, and actually make real friends in a natural and comfortable way. I will forever miss it. Fuck you capitalism.

Though maybe I should watch one of the 20 videos about socialism for beginners so I can know just how stupid this channel is.

I would have more respect for these "revolutionaries" if I saw some sacrifice. At least noodlesoup got himself arrested (even though it's a misdemeanor trespass charge that might get dismissed) They literally couldn't keep up a protest because they couldn't figure out how to feed themselves. 

How are you going to overthrow capitalism when you don't want it to cut into your time praising Sony, Marvel, sexual repression, censorship, Totalitarianism, harassment, terrorism ect.

This OP is probably not gonna be as detailed as this potential discussion deserves because I have work in a bit, so I'm looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts, but yeah:

The news around the industry for the past few months has been so fucking depressing that it almost feels like I should be thankful games are just released at this point.

Like as time goes on it's gonna be hard for me to read a review that has any permutation of "game could've used more of ___" when the game probably took 6 years to make already, might barely break even, and a ton of people will be laid off after it.

Performance/graphics for these big AAA games were never really something I complained about in the first place, but now I'm gonna wince extra hard when reading them.

It genuinely feels like not that we should lower our expectations, but that core gamer expectations became too high in the first place.

Obviously game criticism should never go away as criticism is essential for any art form, but there's definitely things that'll pop up in reviews from now on that'll get a "the industry is in as dire a state as it is, and THIS is what we're worried about?" reaction from me now more than ever.

Idk, I've just never felt this way about this hobby and it feels odd. I know we have a lot of critics here, so I'd love to read y'all's thoughts too on the current state of the gaming landscape and if that'll be in your mind as you write reviews.
