And to be clear, watching it in US Max will do absolutely nothing right now. It has to be US Netflix because they're going to make the call on a second season order.
I understand the frustration that it's not available in all regions. I get it. Netflix only bought it for select regions, and WBD has to make a decision on other regions. I get it. It sucks. If you can't watch it, tell people in regions that do have it to watch it. You can still help by spreading the word.
If everyone gives up or waits too long, then it's not getting renewed. You all keep asking for more adult animation that isn't comedy, and more original IP animation. NOW is the time to prove it. Not only does this need to be watched, but the word has to be spread about the show while it's being judged by execs. I'm begging you all, now is the time to act. If Manifest's fanbase could bring it back from the dead via coordinating, it's possible for other shows to do so too.

Regarding the disparity in posts, the simple fact of the matter -- one of them, anyway, I don't mean to disparage anyone's concerns -- is that I am not Kyuuji and that's important in more ways than one. I will be working on something that can help elucidate us a bit more this month, please be patient with me.

In the meantime, there's reason to believe that even something as simple as a user posting (within reason) what act of help they've done on a given day, no matter how minor, would help with getting traffic up and countering the wall of often bad news that has to be posted in this thread as a matter of reflecting reality.

It may seem like a lot of work but on forums like this or sites like reddit it's important to get you facts right as a lot of eyes can see what you post. Take Resetera's thread on the Russian invasion, it has over 27 million views and it has been moderated very well by both users and staff. Now imagine if mods allowed any sort of news to be posted, or allowed trolls to spread links from the sites mentioned above. It could've done some legit damage.

I think everything about this topic should be prefaced with 'to be fair.'
Claudia Sheinbaum is just another AMLO shill doing his bidding. But to be fair Xochitl is a right-wing puppet championed by the religious and the bourgeoise wanting to bring back the status quo.

In reference to AMLO's shitty response to cartel violence, things obviously haven't gotten any better. But to be fair, things weren't any better in the previous administration, and the one before that tried the war on drugs, which we all know how that went.

Mexico's politics may be rotten to the core, but there's no both sidesing this issue. Everyone in this thread prophesizing Mexico's end of democracy are parroting what all the well-off people have been saying before AMLO took office. Mexico still isn't Venezuela, the president is not extending his term indefinitely, and people just went out to vote. The rich are starting to pay what they owe, money is funneling to social programs to compensate the poor and elderly, women have the right to choose, and there's been progress for lgbtq and the rights of marginalized groups. None of this progress was advocated by the right wing parties.

What's funny is nobody's admitting they'd rather have Xochitl Gálvez as the next president. Things could be a lot better, but there was a clear choice.

What The Bire is doing for Pride Month: nothing. 

Same as all other months, because nobody should give a shit about what demographics you fall into by happenstance or weird psychological desire to insist others see you're different. And especially nobody should be praised for belonging to any demographics because that implies there's value in those things. That it tells someone something essential about you. It doesn't. That is regressive, if you believe that you are a conservative, probably a reactionary one.

You are an individual. Stop insisting you aren't. Especially stop insisting that other people are not. When you promote your "group" think about what you're implying about those not in your group. If you do, you'll recognize your rampant bigotry. That you're incessantly protesting your own "essential" value by denigrating everyone else. That you never promote yourself by achievements, only attack others for failing your impossible standards you don't apply to yourself.

Stop living your life by stupidly thinking you're giving yourself value by desperately spending all your time trying to tear down those in the outgroup. You want a race to the bottom? That's one.

Come through the Enlightenment. You aren't inherently special simply by existing, there's no cosmic meaning, people with different interests aren't corrupted souls, people not under your control aren't denying you, etc. Get over it.

I know I'm not as educated as professor Edmund but I did take a couple classes in anthropology and archeology in college and I fail to see what the general interest would be about these discoveries to the average person. Especially on Ree where they can't help but make mummy movie references or alien jokes in every one of these threads. Yes, finding that many horses buried is unusual but not the practice of burying horses. And finding a statue of Zeus and Aphrodite in Turkey? There's nothing remarkable about that. Just like the the rest of them on there. They have to be performative about everything. Look at me. Look at me. Look at how smart I am. Look at how virtuous I am.
