Kara Lynne, the former LRG community manager who got fired for supposedly "transphobic" tweets? Interestingly, she's now working for Eric July at Rippaverse Comics, as head of customer relations or something. 

I'm sure July makes a lot of people in the industry very uncomfortable. He demonstrated that you can be shunned by the press and mainstream publishers, and still start a successful business in the entertainment industry. He also recently opened a distribution and fulfilment company for independent comics not published by Rippaverse. Lots of "fine, I'll do it myself" energy. And now that he demonstrated that you can make money without bending the knee, some big names in comics openly work with him or follow his example.

I only know that he also made Comicsgate retards uncomfortable because he actually is doing his projects and not in perpetual limbo.

I don't think July or his circles (Az; Nerdrotic, Mauler and Critical Drinker by proxy) have much to do with Comicsgate or Rekieta. Chuck Dixon works on some Rippaverse stuff, but that seems tangential at best.

Nintendo's not the only alt-right chuds pushing their far-right agenda during PRIDE MONTH OF ALL MONTHS:

Not only does the story of this quest basically boil down to one of those military action movies about soldiers with a dead wife who they loved so much, the "writing" for Jade was extremely disappointing. The way she was portrayed made her a female character whose entire role is to be somebody's pregnant wife and then die. You've shown before that you're fully capable of writing very good female characters not defined by their relationships to men, which is why I found this extra annoying.

The writing in this game has been extremely good before, even as recently as whispers in the walls, but releasing this during pride month after teasing so much that this was "something really special that shouldn't be spoiled" feels like a slap in the face.

I'm sure a lot of hard work went into this quest, the production value was phenomenal and it sets up some really interesting plot threads I'm looking forward to seeing you expand upon, but I just can't get over how safe and tone deaf the story felt.

You're far braver than I am - I had been hovering with my mouse over the post button on a very similar new thread.

I'm a cis woman who's married to a trans woman, and you can imagine how much of a slap in the face this felt like for both of us, based on the theories that have been going around. I know there are other female frames, I know it was a theory with no evidence, yada yada yada... But still. God, it feels really bad that they went as cishet as possible for a quest during pride month. I know they donate to LGBT charities, which I'm SO grateful for, of course.

Even disregarding all of that, it feels really bad from a woman's perspective that there's an entirely new Warframe who's entire purpose was to get pregnant and then die for yet another Sad Man Has to Do the Mom Thing and Watch a Baby plot, of which there's already a billion.

Idk. I also really, really hope there's some kind of way to turn off the visuals of the pregnancy on Jade. I don't even usually get squicked out by pregnancy, but just the messaging here is making it me feel a little nauseous at the idea of actually playing her or being in a squad with her.

Zelda has multiple times in the series wielded weapons now....let's examine what is the gameplay focus of this game? I don't think you peeps realize just how ridiculous it is to cry sexism about a lack of traditional weapons, when a trailer includes a woman smasking people twice her size in the face with a boulder, before later showing her wielding a sentient cannon.

The only way they could make Zelda more of a war criminal in this trailer alone, is if she literally had a gun. How do you guys think the game design docs went?

Anyone else excited that the LA remake's art style lives on? I love that art style but was afraid it was a one and done.

I'm actually not a huge fan of it, personally (the OG Link's Awakening is my formative Zelda game and so I'm very precious about it in particular) but Zelda has had so many art styles over the decades I can't really get upset that it's getting a second chance. It's fine by me.

Like I'll be honest, the weapon fusion mechanic in TotK was a novelty at best. It almost never actually made combat easier or better, it was just novel that they let you do things. But 9 times out of 10 it didn't really transform the combat in an appreciable way.

This is lowkey one of the most objectively untrue things you've ever said on this forum because fam....people made war machines. And TOTK's major meme was committing war crimes

TOTK is a ridiculous game if only because way more than half the things that simply function the way they do should be an impossible thing but they work immaculately. It's ok if you specifically didn't do a lot of creative stuff, but to say that it was novelty is objectively ignoring like, the major reason why the game was as big of a hit as it was.

That might have been your experience, but it couldn't be further from mine, lol. Fusion turned shields into Batman gadgets capable of doing just about anything at a moment's notice, and enabled players to customize weapons and weapon effects pretty substantially. It added a lot of depth and flavor to the game for me. It rose beyond a mere novelty for me the moment I realized that you can do more with the system than fuse rock to stick to make hammer.

For me all I ever really bothered with, weapons-wise, was sticking Construct parts on things to make high-damage weapons. Everything else could be accomplished with arrows or throwing items so there was no point in wasting good weapons by fusing crap to them. Especially because fusing weapons to each other wreaks havoc on their durability if you're not careful.
