Just to be clear, I'm not even contending that the show is doing less than other MCU shows.

To me it makes perfect sense, it's a slow spy thriller featuring Nick Fury and not superpowered people. It's a similar thing to what happened with Andor's viewership as a slow show with no Jedi.

Invasion won't become an Internet darling like Andor as it's quality is nowhere near as good but if we're talking NUMBERS. Then the facts are it still posted an above average number on Samba's incredibly restrictive metric. Close to 1M when successful shows like witcher posted 805k and the other BIG Marvel shows posted 1.4 - 1.6M

There's simply no way to conclude the show is doing bad. It's just MAYBE not doing as good as Marvel's superpowered shows.

He has to be committed since he has an imaginary girlfriend who gets abused by her mother who supposedly comes onto him for sex but here he is bootlicking Disney for fictional characters.

I skimmed through the timestamps of that 4 hour video.  Good god.  Everyone is so patient with this person, like walking on eggshells through every single "incident", and it's just not good enough.  In one of the timestamps, she can't login to a certain part of a system (A browser) because it only recognizes her "Deadname", and it can't be reconciled at the moment.  It can only switch manually; the IT operator has to manually add her new account and name, so the HR girl says "Just stick with "Ray" until that goes through."  So, it's this huge problem to type in an old name that she used merely months ago, before the system switches it.  She even reassures her a few times that a new account will be made for her.  What is the fucking big deal?  Is this an adult or a child?  I can't make sense of how some of these "incidents" are even tangentially related to being trans - in one of them, she takes paid time off, but reassures the HR or project manager that she can get back to work soon, but is told that she can't be on a certain project because of some issues with her taking off.  And she somehow interprets this as discrimination?  Huh?  Am I the only idiot that looked at this video?

They expect that transition means they can force everyone to bend to their every whim at work.

One is the big problems with dealing with these types of issues (frivolous and vexatious me too, harassment etc complaints made on social media) is that corporate comms teams initially dealt with them like any other crisis communications situation, basically applying the same playbook they would if there was an industrial accident or environmental fuck up.

Accept blame > apologise > compensate those affected >  promise to do better in the future > go back to business as usual.

However, what they're recognising now is that these situations require vastly different responses that go against every crisis communications theory and practice.

The best practice response to this sort of thing is: ignore > ignore > ignore.

Social media changed the way we communicate and changed the way the media works. If you give a situation and the people involved the attention they crave, they get more active, not less active. If the media gets the clicks that come with responding, they will pump out more poorly researched articles, not fewer.

This is quickly becoming common knowledge in crisis communications and I'm seeing it in action in my work. The sad thing is that it's also starting to affect the way corporations deal with the industrial/environmental accident side as well.
