There's a very practical problem with this kind of protest which is that most people in the crowd can't actually hear you and don't know what's going on. I don't think there's any kind of moral objection or that Harris "doesn't deserve it" or anything like that, it just... doesn't really communicate effectively. But with that said I really would like her to say something more substantive for Palestinian Americans or just all of us upset about what's happening in Gaza that isn't just the same old platitudes.

That big ass voting bloc of Palestine Americans or online leftists that listen to Hassan. 

But Biden doesn't actually want to do that, and Kamala seems to tow that line.

This was a terrible moment. I will say that I'm still going to have some hope, as she has done/said other things that point to a shift in policy and I do think that an in-the-moment response to a protestor might not bring out the best in someone.

That being said, she should have been more prepared for it and clearly wasn't. She needs to make a very public statement on what her policy will be soon, preferably between now and the end of the DNC.

Well, I was going to say that it feels like she's spoken about Palestinians and the idea of a ceasefire with noticeably more empathy than Biden.

She's literally writing Israel first in her statement to Palestinians too.

Yeah, changing the language from the passive voice to something even slightly more empathetic would've done wonders for Harris' campaign in terms of gaining the support of pro-Palestinian crowd, unfortunately it seems she doesn't really care for that outside of making empty gestures.
