If there's one thing fascists really can't handle, it's being made fun of. Calling Trump "weird", Vance a "couch fucker", and Rowling's shitty wallpaper "black mold" has gradually shown over the past few weeks to genuinely upset and throw them off, causing them to make strange mistakes and drive them further and further into their weirdo caves.

The lesson is pretty clear: take the threat of fascism seriously, but not the rhetoric. Instead, treat fascists like the bizarre goobers we know they are. It only isolates them further from the public and exemplifies just how strange and off-putting their ideologies truly are to the masses who don't stay plugged-in 24/7.

As soon as I picked her up, I could tell that I was in over my head. Even though I've had a dog for most of my life, this one was the biggest (40+ pounds) since my childhood dog, and because she was 8-months old, she would require a lot of training. I tried to keep an optimistic outlook as I drove her home, but once we got to my apartment complex, she was able to squirm out of her collar twice (leading to lengthy chases), refused to walk up the stairs (and I'm not strong enough to carry her), and made my feeling of unease grow ever deeper.

I was able to drop her off at my local kennel last night. Probably the best for both of us. It's just sobering to realize I'm not emotionally strong enough to handle a dog right now. I love dogs! If I can't even have a dog anymore, who am I?

Nah, I've had suicidal thoughts for over half of my life and my last attempt was only a month ago. Never would have let my own feelings potentially harm a dog or any other animal in the process. Couldn't care less about their feelings.

Hey, OP. I know everyone is dumping on you for this thing, but I also think it's important to acknowledge that you knew you weren't ready to take care of her.

That is a mature thing to do. I wish you handled it differently, but acknowledging your own personal limitations and the fact that you don't think you're ready to be responsible for another life at this time is a good sign. If you can get her back to her original kennel, they will do what they can to rehome her.

This happens a lot with dog adoptions - they will understand.
