Remember when Threads released and there was a massive thread on there about how everyone was moving to Threads and it was going to be great? Then when anyone mentioned how Facebook/Zuck are almost certainly worse than anything Musk could do, they were shut down and told to shut the fuck up. 

I don't like Musk. Guy is a clown and has the dumbest ideas for Twitter. Just pure stupidity across the board. But anyone celebrating a government blocking Twitter is utterly insane. This is especially important in developing nations like Brazil, that have a high level of corruption in society. Twitter serves as an important tool for people to document the fucked up shit that is going on around them. When something fucked up happens anywhere in the world, you head to Twitter to see the people impacted by it reporting on it. You don't go to traditional media for that. Twitter allows you to see exactly what is going on, as it happens. If you are too much of a dumb cunt to tell between what is real and misinformation, that is on you.

Twitter also serves as an important tool for Colombian cam girls to advertise their services.

Sony crafted an audience that loves big expensive single players games with "deep" story telling and a bunch of again expensive set pieces.

Can't keep making them look better because its expensive as fuck.

so they decided they needed a "forever" Game to keep the money flowing.

That audience doesn't want that lol and its hard to break into that market because its basically full. Fornite kiddos play Fornite. COD bros play COD. Weebs play their MMOs and Gatchas. To  get into these audiences you need to do something different enough to to attract an audience. Fortnite stole PUBGs thunder with its art style, building and the fact that PUBG was held together with duct tape and barely ran....and it did it WHILE the battle royal stuff was getting hot.

Concord is a worse Overwatch, with worse designs and also costs more than the now free Overwatch and in a genre that is not hot.  Marvel Rivals will probably do well do to good character designs, a third person view, and its free. Concord was a still born of an idea. Like they really bought into the movie game hype and thought some random cut scenes were enough lol.

I don't even enjoy most of Sony's first party outings. Uncharted 2 and 4 were probably the last ones I enjoyed at all but even then I could see the pivot wouldn't work. But it was needed because they need more ways to fund those expensive games because they spent the last two gens creating an audience that expects top of the line graphics for a 20-40 hour experience. They are super lucky MS can't stop shitting themselves and Nintendo doesn't really compete in that market
