Baseball is fairly to very popular in other parts of the world including Latin America, parts of South America, Japan, and South Korea.  China even has a professional baseball league!

The kids do play a factor though but purely from anecdotal evidence I'm seeing the current franchises take up space in stores and being pushed with merch/ads.
- LEGO (but this is mostly the Nintendo / Harry Potter sets and lot of car stuff for some reason)
- Harry Potter (Hogwarts Legacy has certainly put this back on the map)
- Nintendo (mostly Super Mario but you can tell Switch has slowed down a bit)
- Pokemon (for some reason Pikachu is very popular again, Pikachu stuff everywhere)
- Funko Pops
- Everything related to cars (Race tracks, Hot wheels etc. unsure why though but it seems to have taken over football)
- Disney Princess stuff

Disney also seems to be pushing a new trading card game brand (Locarna or something) but it just can't compete with Pokemon.
Overall though very little Disney stuff out and about not a lot of Disney+ ads either. 
Interest in Sonic has certainly increased after a few good movies, decent games and the LEGO sets.
