I love the guy claiming Iranian sanctions are due to them being anti-Israel. Absolutely nothing else Iran has done to earn them. Nope. Not a single issue since 1979 other than being anti-Israel. So I finally finished the Metaphor demo after about 12 hours, 6 of which were grinding

6hrs grinding. I've gotten to the mine. Game seems ok. I like the characters and what little combat I've seen, but if I have to grind for longer than 20 minutes just to finish the demo into the trash it goes

Tbf it's more that there's the capacity to grind for 6 extra hours in the demo somehow, it's probably about 4-5 hours max if you're not trying to get every spare second out of it. Game seems good imo.

Wuthering Heights probably wasn’t the best comparison he could’ve made, because that’s what people will focus on instead of his experience. If 1st year literature students are citing books aimed at children that’s a problem. When I was in school our teacher read the whole of The Lord Of The Rings to us. Then gave us The Hobbit to read by ourselves. That was a learning experience which I doubt would ever happen today.

There are also interesting, literary, modern books being written all the time. 

Toni Morrison was writing all through the 80s and 90s...those books are short but also extremely accessible and thematically rich. Song of Achilles was written in 2011, and the author is still alive and writing!

It ain't gotta be ancient and dusty Crime and Punishment (though that fucker moves) vs. modern-english YA whatever.
