Anyway, I don't care about Silent Hill at all but somebody can ping me if there's more I can complain about regarding it.

There was an attempt to remaster the original PS2 games during the PS3 era that ended in disaster. People have begged Konami to do a MGS bluepoint style remaster for years, but they decided with a Remake. So there is a resentment about it, specially after the years were they tried to pivot to gambling machines and their hissy fit with Kojima.

Blooper supposedly expanded some lore stuff, so people are worried that they fucked up. But they have some of the OG Team Silent as consultants so  . Otherwise, it sounds like the game follows the original closely.

Agreed. It'd be nice if a lot of publishers would put out collections of older games that are hard to find. Some would take more time than others of course, but it'd still be nice.

For others it's just a matter of the rights and who owns the IP. Xenosaga would be awesome to have on modern machines, as collecting the original games are pretty pricey.

I believe they still changed Maria's outfit to something less revealing which feels dumb considering the context in the game itself. Though probably less owed to incompetence by Team Blooper and just the general vibe in the western industry where they're suddenly terrified of showing any skin

From what I can recall about those ports, they re-did the entire dub for what was a port. It may be a case where they don’t own the rights? And I think they lost the source files or something along those lines. 

Regardless, fans put together the enhanced edition for the old PC release. The idealized version of the original. Realistically everybody playing it is pirating it. Even if the mod install instructions are “step 1: put your legally purchased CD in your PC disc drive.”

For more context, I have been in cars with friends and totally choked and couldn't drive when asked to. Think this is one thread where we don't need people jumping in front of bullets for the NHS. It's nothing short of calculated malice and has already affected an entire generation of trans children with no light at the end of the tunnel for future ones. Now it's us trans adults who face review and the potential of being denied healthcare outright (off the back of what little access there is for us via the NHS).

When it comes to trans health care in particular, there's a specific push to wipe out the entirety of the area of medicine, and the few checks and balances against them, like a peer review into the Cass report by the BMA, gets angrily decried by influential figures within the NHS. And, in my own annecdotal experience, mental healthcare that's urgently needed as an emergency net when going through the distress of dysphoria (not to mention other underlying things) is non existent to the point it makes for a system that does feel broken on a very systemic level, even if there are points where they may still excell.

State-run healthcare should not be paying for religious rituals. And if you want it otherwise, you should win elections.
