I actually agree with the sentiment that it feels shitty to own discs you bought that are useless, even if you knew what you were getting into at the time, and even when it's the norm or you're used to fully digital games on steam

I like to collect and it sucks to feel like part of that collection is pointless

the only consolation is the idea that if the internet was wiped out tomorrow, you could still use your 2004 wow discs in a model viewer or extract the audio to reminisce about what once was

At this point, I don't know what she wants. She initially started this as a "I'm just putting the information out there" type campaign, which sort of doubles as a play that forces the hands of those involved to act. And they did, TFS and LK have put out statements both clarifying and denouncing the people in question. But that doesn't seem good enough now? And apparently this was done without the consent of the people affected?

It's not a clout situation.

I understand what she's doing and I think, from her point of view, it's coming from a juste angle. The offenders in question have been getting away with...A LOT over the years and even if people find out and cut those people out of their lives, that silence doesn't do a lot to help people who may not know, and people continue to get hurt.

But like, if she wants anything beyond that, then she's going to have to call the police. No one is going to be able to enact the justice she's looking for from a "he said, she said" perspective.

Where was this reasoning when Anita and others AntiGG were getting clout for imaginary threats by GG (not like they weren’t assholes, but many of the accusations ended being “she said he said”).

Of course, Mesoian is still dumb enough to be able to understand that a victim can be an abuser and having no better reason for it than “clout”.

The endgame is not Justice, is at best retribution but a perceived slight and at worst getting internet fame and attention, as banal it is. Good intentions doesn’t mean she cares beyond surface level, you probably identify as a well intentioned individual and thinks that being an asshole RE.com somehow makes the world better, but that doesn’t mean you think beyond feeling good about telling off those chuds.

The only time my luggage was displaced, I filed a complain about missing a formal event, having to rebuy a suit. The airline ask me for all receipts and paid back everything, like, the socks, the toiletries, shirts, shoes, rounding up to a confortable anoyance and sorry fee.

What I like most about this, is that the devs of BG3 didn't really gloat or comment about how their game is much better nor was there an expectation that it would get ratings like these.

In other games you either get 'fuck around and find out' freedom with little to no story and just a bunch of minigame like challenges or the mechanics are used only sparringly and there is only one solution to progress (like the physics in Half Life 2).

Even in Banjo Nuts & Bolts, they limited the main overworld to just one vehicle and the levels were basically empty race tracks with racing and transport challenges.
