Yeah, they've pretty much put out one game in the last 13 years because their other work was on Epic stuff like Gears/Fortnite.

edit: Also they supposedly didn't make anything from Outriders.

I absolutely loved Bulletstorm but for some reason they never followed it up with a sequel or something similar. Hell, not even an FPS

They started a sequel but it was canned for Gears Judgement and then they moved on to supporting Fortnite.

It also did poorly sales wise, but People Can Fly got the IP when they split from Epic. Which is why there's the remaster.

I don't have kids and may never have any, but I'm temporarily living with my parents in the suburbs and see parents with kids much more often than when I lived in the city.

Recently, I heard a kid (maybe around 8 or so? I dunno, I can't tell kid ages) ask "what is nostalgia?" Looking up from his phone. The mom came back with a very positive explanation about "warm fuzzy feelings" about something from the past "that makes you happy."

That's nothing outright wrong about that explanation, I thought to myself, but my immediate reaction was "Yeah, but what the pain of nostalgia, and the trouble it can get you in if you chase after it?" Then I realized that maybe it's a good thing I'm not around kids much lol.

So I thought to ask: when do you wait explain the more subtle bittersweet aspects of life to young people? And is it just to wait until they can grasp it, or is it to maintain their sense of innocence?

This is not a dude who was pleading for healthcare at the whim of insurance companies: his rich family has clearly given him everything he wanted and then some...they certainly could've ensured he got the best care possible, wherever he wanted to get it.
