There have always been movies in the Fox series that were recognized as good or great (X-Men, X2, First Class, DoFP, Logan, both Deadpool movies) and people always liked the original cast.

Jeff’s a cock but to be fair, those movies were all fairly well-lauded on/around release. I think as time has gone on with Iron Man up to Endgame, people looked back on them and wished how much better they could have been with integration to a larger narrative. That said, you’d not going to find subtle, nuanced conversation with one of Disney’s biggest cheerleaders.

You can see why this kind of "analysis" appeals to them, it was in Nepenthe's rants the other day too, as long as one flaw can be found from the outside this explains everything and exempts all other actions. And argues towards a "simple as" conclusion that you only need to address this one thing and then everything will be perfect.
