Personally I don't agree. Someone like Rowling has done measurable, tangible damage to a very marginalized group. The Cyberpunk stuff in retrospect might be different, I don't know…I wasn't here but got a cliffs notes on it. Harry Potter tho is a no brainer. There's tangible, widespread harm being done there that's actually lead to discriminatory laws being enacted thanks to her crusade. It's on a completely different level, I'm happy it's banned here.

What I've learned from Resetera is, if you do capitalism good enough, and amass enough wealth and influence, you can commit genocides and everyone is just a helpless complicit accessory aiding in the devastation because some things are more important than dead Palestinian children, like Microsoft video game products at participating retail locations.  

Here I am, thinking humanitarian concerns outweigh the need to master capitalismo through selling product to people who can't help themselves kill children.   But apparently not.  It can't be helped.  We can't take a stand at Resetera, because Microsoft's videogames and Resetera's corporate overlords are just way more important than dead kids.  Nobody gets a High-Fi Rush from saving children, except me, I guess.

I also strongly suspect Chris Kekaniokalani is the one who introduced a different Hawai'ian concept to this movie: kuleana, which translates to responsibility or duty. Nani tells Lilo at one point, "It's my kuleana to take care of you," which is why she's so hesitant to accept help at the beginning.

200k additional copies sold in 10 days from the launch of their 2.0 patch is really good. Not sure how much revenue that translates into since the game was heavily discounted, I picked it up after seeing the 2.0 trailer for £9.99 which is a fraction of it's launch price so hopefully they made some good profit from those sales at the lower price point.

Either way definitely looks like it was a success for them and good to know that they took the feedback from their community and streamers and improved the game to where people are more positive around the game. Great to see positive feedback like this when it seems everywhere you look people in the industry are losing their jobs so I'm glad to hear about this positivity for the studio.

They can now take this as a base and use it with their next project, I just hope they do away with the switching between planes, I did not enjoy that aspect of the game.

Stellar Blade is indeed a fantastic game, really enjoyed it, top 3 game of 2024 for sure and upcoming DLC looks great, the new boss fight looks awesome. Never played Kingdom Come so got nothing to say on that though.
