Speaking as someone who has played Genshin since launch, Genshin has mostly been 'consistently okay' compared to most other gacha. It was only in the past year since the start of Natlan that the designs abruptly switched into consistently pandering with just about every female character to a level where any benefit of the doubt is gone now (a common criticism is that many of the female designs lately do not actually look like they belong in the same game as the pre-Natlan cast), and the community has been in a male gooner VS female fanbase civil war over it. It doesn't help that there has only been *one* premium male character released in the entire past year.

When issues of beauty standards, self worth, gender norms, and sexual behavior all begin to consume your day-to-day life?
